Overall, we were happy with our stay. Location was decent in that it was away from all the businesses but still fairly easily accessible via bus or metro. We felt safe in the area. The dining option at the hotel itself was great. Amazing breakfast. Staff was fantastic and very hospitable.

Nearly all the flowers on the bar and restaurant tables were dead or severely wilted which spoilt the atmosphere and were substandard for a 5 star hotel. Concierge very helpful and provision of hotel limo much appreciated.

Excellent location, very comfortable with a very accommodating staff. The dining was disappointing and very overpriced. Example….. at breakfast my wife and I ordered coffee and were charged 5 pounds for each refill….. totally unacceptable.

Unacceptable behaviour

When checking the details on my bill, I was very surprised to see an 'extra' 27% of all cost for 'tips' to the employees ... Very sneaky ! Especially considering that I already tipped the bellboy as well as the waiter at the restaurant ! When mentioned to the front desk staff, I was replied in a very condescending manner that this was the norm ... I do travel a lot in 5 stars hotels, always tip generously and have never seen this... absolutely unacceptable !
