Half what we expected
We partly chose this flat because of location, pictures on VRBO looked darling, and price. We booked it months ago. There was zero return communication to my emails until three days before, then I was told I would get a code the day of. Luckily, I knew the address. The day of our arrival, I wrote and did receive a code and info to which flat would be ours. Thankfully we were able to climb stairs as we were on the fourth floor. From there, we received one towel for three of us. One bed had bedding but the dirty uncomfortable couch had no bedding. The cute rug pictured is filthy. The shower was extremely difficult to adjust temperature so we scalded ourselves until we adjusted it to a just below scalding temperature. The microwave turned on but didn’t heat. The stove/oven never turned on. The refrigerator was noisy and smelly but worked. The walls had holes where one of the cute shelves once had been. The blue chair and most pillows (pictured in the ad) were missing. When we requested bedding for the couch and additional towels we received no communication but a day later one towel was left on our bed. We explained about the appliances, but received no communication back.
We were in London for 7 days. We bought our own towels and bedding for the couch. The ease to the tube station and grocery as well as the market and park was fantastic. We felt safe and we actually enjoyed the 4th floor as we were above the noise at night.
It was half of what we expected.
