Good stay

This a basic motel, family owned and run. The room was a good size, with a fridge, microwave oven, small dining table and chairs. The bed was comfortable. Recommended.

A place that I would stay again The staff is very friendly and where able to help us figure things out after we booked. These rooms where more affordable compared to other place in the area and where in good condition. The only things I would have changed is the washroom layout, as someone who is bigger it was a little bit harder to use because the space between the wall and the toilet and adding in a microwave/coffee pot. The beds where surprisingly comfortable for spring beds and I slept like a baby, even while there was construction going on I didn't hear anything. There is also access to restaurants nearby and a nice walking place down the street!

Parking & Alleyway Issues to be Addressed

Room was clean and well kept. Front desk staff were friendly. Encountered two significant issues. First one was at check in. We arrived more than 2 hours after the check in time and were told our room wasn't ready yet, and that we were to wait in the lobby until it was. The lobby was not air conditioned, and being a hot day, it was not a comfortable wait. Second issue: when our room was ready, we were told it was located on the other side of a restaurant next door, with access to the room through a very narrow, dark alleyway behind the restaurant. Oh, and there was no parking on that side of the motel. So our car was parked on one side, and we had to carry all of our stuff through the alleyway to the other side to get to our room.

This motel was perfect for an inexpensive one-night stay! Although it’s not the fanciest nor the most up-to-date accommodations available in London, I did find it to be clean, and all my interactions with the staff were great. My only major complaint is that is inconveniently located in the middle of the construction on Wellington. This obviously isn’t the motel’s fault, but it is something to be aware of. Nevertheless, I didn’t having any real issues getting in and out, and there are some good restaurants in walking distance.

Easy walking distance from level 2 charger.

The rooms are dated for the price. There is a level 2 “Charge Point” charging station almost across the road behind the City of London visitor centre. It made charging our Tesla super convenient. Staff were very accommodating with the early check in.

We weren't expecting anything big or grand, just needed a place for an overnight stay that didn't cost $200. Bathroom was so narrow you could hardly turn around in it. The motel appeared to be more like a housing complex for people in long term residence. Not something we would have booked if we had known. Otherwise it was clean and staff was friendly.

Needed an affordable place on very short notice near the Victoria Hospital so booked here for two nights ($100 per). On the positive side, the room interior and bedding were reasonably clean. The single staff person at reception was personable enough. There were enough towels and soap. Shower and tub very small but lots of hot water. Two disposable cups. Fridge worked. However, there was a strong odour of stale smoke in the room that was impossible to ignore. Room was dark, small and depressing. Heavy curtains were kept closed for privacy. Mattress was just ok. No available power outlets. Didn’t try the wifi. TV was ok, need to use the two controllers. Noises from the parking lot at all hours of the night. I was worried about someone breaking into my car or into the room! Neither happened but that was the vibe! I would not recommend this place.

No people in the room beside me were trying to break into my room from the room behind me that was boarded up and I told the night staff and he didn't believe me so I would not recommend anyone to stay at this motel
