"Our room had a column in the middle it that was very awkward and there was someone playing the drums and singing past 10 pm outside our window. But the mattress was great!"

"Not far from the centre and very friendly. Managed to get parking outside all the time so no complaints there. Quite a hike up to our room though. My daughter, being young, was more than capable of carrying the luggage, so it worked out fine. "

"We loved our stay at The Shipquay. The rooms were lovely, the toiletries were very nice (including the lavender pillow spray). We had a great view of the river, city hall and the wall. It was a wonderful surprise. Two important mentions. Parking is a little challenging. The hotel is aware and contacted me before we arrived. Even with that help, it was challenging for two drivers from North America. We figured it out and the staff was super helpful. Secondly there is a real stand out, the restaurant. We opted to eat dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous. My husband had the burger, made in house with locally sourced beef. I had the Irish Sea Bass, outstanding! If you like fish, you will be thrilled. All in all I highly recommend th Shipquay. "

"The bishops gate is the place to stay in Derry. It is a beautiful hotel with highly skilled, friendly, and helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and rewarding. Literally, from the valet, to reception (KAYLI-sp?), everyone was professional, courteous, helpful, and just top-notch. The hotel is meticulous and inviting. It is a place you want to come home to every night After being out visiting Derry and seeing the sites. It is also centrally located within the city walls and within walking distance to almost everything. It was really a treat staying here."
