"The staff was very friendly. We arrived the morning of check in and actually worked hard in getting us in a room early. Our room was spacious and clean. We had plenty of linen and bathroom items. 24 hour use of microwave, ice, vending machine and laundry. Nice clean well working mini fridge. We had a great experience and definitely would choose them again. Thank you for the great service. "

"We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with our dog. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened onto the expansive lawn at the front of the hotel, with a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the mountains and over the town is spectacular. It was a perfect room for traveling with a dog, as our dog could go right outside to pee without us having to trek all the way through the building. We were able to feed him and give him water out there as well. There were other families with dogs in these types of rooms. So if you are traveling with a dog, try to get a balcony room and ask to be on the first floor. It is convenient and the view is fantastic. "

"Our stay at Prescott House was a delight. The house is unique, cozy, and welcoming! The onsite manager was friendly and available, and we had everything we needed. The large bathrooms are shared, but the doors can be locked for quick showers, and there are also a few private half-baths (and one private shower) scattered throughout the building. Our room was a little bit musty and had not been updated like some of the other rooms, but it was clean and very affordable and met all our needs. We appreciated the coffee station and porches, the window a/c unit for the hot nights, the opportunity to meet other guests, and the fascinating history of the house. I would be glad to return. "Loved this place. Os tayed last year and pool was open. Thisbyear it wasnt when I went in May. So thats why I chose it again. I mean it could use updating but staff kind and serves its purpose. I asked a late checknout cuz when to hike a high peak and came back late. They were kind to let me late check out."
