This vacation property is only footsteps to the river. With immediate water access, you can enjoy the activities of canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding or water skiing through many of the hidden scenes of Prince Edward Island. The Riverfront Skiff sits in the most scenic and sought after places on Prince Edward Island - 'The Sou'West River' .

Nestled within the rolling hills of the Island, you will be only minutes away from the beaches off the beaten path like - 'Cousin's Shore' and the wildly popular 'Cavendish Beach', 'Thunder Cove' and 'Twin Shores'. Restaurants such as Sou'West Bar & Grill, Carr's Oyster Bar and the Table Culinary Studio are just around the corner located in stunningly beautiful New London & Stanley Bridge.

If you are looking to buy seafood you are in the right place! With some of the friendliest fishers around - fresh lobster, oysters and mussels are never hard to find. Iconic Prince Edward Island tourist destinations are all around us including the Village Pottery, the Lucy Maud Montgomery Birthplace, Burlington Amusement Park and Anne of Green Gables Museum to name a few. With lots to see and experience we are in a perfect location for all ages. Whether it is peace & quiet you are seeking or fun filled days of water sports - the Riverfront Skiff is where you want to be.

Our 2 bedroom vacation property boasts a newly renovated modern kitchen and bathroom. The Riverfront Skiff is well equipped with Air Conditioning/Heat Pump, all new appliances including fridge, stove and microwave. Included amenities are - BBQ, Fire Pit, free high speed internet WiFi access, Satellite Television, Washer & Dryer and all new furniture, mattresses, pillows and linens.

Check In: 3:00 pm and Check Out 10:00 am - there may be some flexibility based on occupancy so feel free to ask about that during your stay :) If there is anything we missed that you are curious about please ask and we will get back to you right away!!

Our family was very comfortable here, exactly as described! We had everything we needed for our stay. It is a quiet property - fantastic views! We found exploring the Island very easy with The Riverfront Skiff as our homebase.

Light in the master bedroom fan burned out.Light switch in the kitchen required playing with it.Light on the deck burned out.....safety hazard at night.Towel rack in the bathroom falling out of the wall.Will stay there agin win three days....hope things are fixed.

The cottage was sweet but there were just some things that we felt should have been better.There were 3 t.v.s but only 1 worked. Only a few of the outlets were useable. The lamp in one bedroom didn’t work. The barbecue hadn’t been cleaned and there was no aluminum foil to put over the grills.No umbrella for the patio table.We loved the area and our neighbour was great !

Our impression is that this house is used exclusively as a rental, considering that the decor and accessories look more like a hotel than a cottage. Another clue is that the neighbours looked away every time we tried to say hello, so they mustn't be thrilled to have a turnover of renters right next door.We read comments about the odd assortment of cups, but our main issue was the lack of cereal/soup bowls... not that big a deal.Cons: Corner of mould in the bathroom caused by renters not closing the shower curtain properly, super bouncy double bed, some lamps didn't work, dishes not microwaveable - fire hasard? Would've preferred to have blinds on the entrance glass door and big kitchen window - managed to hang travel blankets. Blind on kitchen window at sink was likely broken by a renter who lacked finesse, managed to pretty much make it work. Last thing common to all rentals/hotels we've stayed at: cool white LED light bulbs. They are a blight on humanity.Pros: Nothing smelled mouldy, not even the corner of black mould in the bathroom, A/C worked like a charm, much appreciated in the heatwave, place was quite clean by most people's standards, fridge was clean, ice in freezer, washer/dryer worked fine, plenty of pillows, bedding, towels, dishcloths, hand towels, cleaning products.No need to ask the owner for anything after initial request for check-in instructions to which we received a quick response, so we can't comment on any of that. Good experience all in all.

Great spot

Very clean and peaceful. On the water (river) but no real water access. Listing eludes that there is "water access" but shore is steep and would be difficult to launch a kayak if you brought one. That said... Would certainly recommend it and stay again.

Riverside Skiff

A lovely little cottage on Long River. Check in was easy, and the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We especially liked the calm view from the porch where we had our morning coffee. There are quiet neighbours on either side and the people around are friendly. Would recommend this to anyone making a trip to PEI.

A place to escape

Very nice little house to spend a week in pei. Close to cavendish and only about 30 minutes to nearest large city. Loved our stay!

August vaca

Great place to stay. It felt like home. Neighbors were great and they had a little girl who was just a little bit older than our granddaughter. They played quite a bit over the 3 days. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Curtis.

Not Happy with Our Stay

The location is very nice. They have everything you need for your stay. The tv did not work at all. The owner did not seem to really care. We called him when we arrived and he was not very quick to respond. He then nessaged the following morning to say someone was going to come by 11 a.m. We waited until then and nobody showed up. I said we were going out for awhile and they could come by another time. Never heard from him again. I also was disappointed about the cleanliness. As soon as we arrived, I swept the floor and sent him a picture of the dirt to show it wasn't very clean. The place is very tidy but the sofa and reclining chair need a cleaning. We couldn't sleep in the double bed because it was so uncomfortable. We slept on the pull out sofa which to my surprise when I opened it, had left over chips in the bottom of the box frame. The ceiling fans have dust on them, so we never turned them on. The bbq was so dirty that we didn't want to use it. I told the owner about the few things that we were not happy about and he said he found it a bit surprising because his cleaners always do a great job. There was no radio or tv for the whole time we were there, so the nights were long and boring. I would not stay there again.

Rainy stay

We went and weather didn’t cooperate, travelled into Charlottetown for a day and then just played board games (brought our own) and hung out inside. It’s a good place to go an unplug.

Chalet bien situé et très belle vue. À notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que bien des choses manquaient dans la cuisine (aucun verre à vin ou verre à eau (j'ai dû aller en acheter), minimum de vaisselle, réservoir du BBQ vide) Deux chaises de la cuisine étaient brisées, machine à café Keurig ne fonctionnait pas, BBQ très sale ainsi que le four dans la cuisine. Pas de séchoir. Incapable d'ouvrir la fenêtre de la chambre principale, l'interrupteur de la lumière de la cuisine défectueux, le balcon n'est pas entretenu etc... Donc, nous avons été un peu déçus. Ce sont des choses que le propriétaire peut fixer. On m'avait dit que nous pouvions se baigner à partir du bord de l'eau... NON impossible avec les algues. Nous avons aimé les alentours mais je ne louerais pas cette propriété une autre fois.

Loved our stay

Cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Very close to Sou'West restaurant - very good food! Curtis was very quick to answer any of our questions and checked in mid week to make sure everything was ok. Would definitely go there again! Lovely setting, quiet and peaceful - exactly what we needed.
