RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands #233 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Perfect little place for our short stay

We had a great overnight stay here. The property is really cute, quiet, clean and had everything our family needed. The check in process was simple and the office manager was very friendly. The pool, the mini golf, parking for our truck and the access to the beach were all close and easy to walk to from our room which is great if you're traveling with kids that complain about walking. We wish we could've stayed longer but will definitely return!

My usual location to stay (house) was housing a shelter in place. This was a great find and will definitely be used again. Super clean and everything I needed for the beach!!!

The grounds were beautiful. The room needs painting, new furniture and mold/mildew cleaned. Some of silverware and coffee mugs were not clean. Black mold around tub and baseboard. Did not feel clean entire time was there.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is close to the road and you’ll be woken up by traffic at 6 AM. That’s if you aren’t already up from the upstairs neighbors stomping around, literally all night... and if you do manage to get a few minutes of sleep, the lumpy mattress will make sure they aren’t restful. Finally, it’s not as clean as one would hope. The beach is the only saving grace for this aging motel. Otherwise you’re better off anywhere else on LBK.

Reviewer Comments: I sent this email three days ago after checking out and have not received a response: I just checked out of your Silver Sands #233 rental on Longboat Key. This is our third year staying at this property but found this year to be disappointing, especially given that we paid more than previous years. We do enjoy the convenience and amenities of the property, they bring us back each year.This year there were no umbrellas available at the beach and there didn’t appear to be any in use. Perhaps they need to be replaced. We also had a leak in our unit. Although the front staff called a plumber and it was fixed that day it was still an inconvenience. The water coming from the ceiling smelt off urine and the plumber confirmed the pipe leaking was from the upstairs toilet. We had to throw away food and other personal items due to this. I write this in hopes that these issues will be resolved for future renters. The ceiling was patched up and looked just as it did when we arrived. With rising costs, renters expect to receive the best experience possible.
