RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #257A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Great location, pool area great and beach area fantastic! Love the close proximity to Anna Maria Island and close to a few restaurants. Wish there had been a chair or 2 in the room as the only place to sit was the bed or bar stool.

Weekend getaway

Great location, near restaurants and quiet setting right on the beach. Miniature golf on sight. Comfortable mattress, and enough amenities to allow for simple meals, snacks, and breakfasts. First time staying on Longboat Key. We plan to return!

Great Location

Quiet beach, within walking distance to restaurants. On the beach with great view of sunsets. Heated pool. While it lists a kitchenette, it included only microwave, toaster & mini frig.. i didnt like the fact i had to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect February getaway from the cold northern winter for my husband and I. The room was nicely decorate, efficient, clean, and best of all steps away from a spectacular beach! The office staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay easy and pleasant. We'd definitely come back!

Our Perfect Getaway

This place is beautiful..the property and beach was perfect..we really liked how its not overpopulated with very few ppl..we seen all kinds of diff animals and wildlife and collected plenty of big shells..the heated pool and putt putt was awesome to have so its great for kids and adults..the ocean water was clear and warm..i would def come back and highly recommend if ever have a chance to stay here at this beautiful place..This was our perfect getaway!!!

We love Silver Sands!

We got married on the beach at Longboat Key! So romantic and peaceful. Silver Sands is amazing, very clean and the pool is beautiful and so clean. Margaret at the front office is so nice and accommodating. This was our second year staying here but not our last! We love it here!

Quiet and relaxing

The resort was as advertised. Perfect size for my husband and myself. The office manager was very helpful and friendly. The resort has beach towels, beach loungers, beach umbrellas…very convenient for us. The beach is very quiet. The ocean was beautiful..full of wildlife. We loved being right on the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay and that we were steps away from a beautiful white sand private beach right on the Gulf. The property is very quiet and the room is comfortable and clean and is a great base for a short term vacation on Longboat Key - only drawbacks was the bed could use some improvement (too soft) and the grills in the pool area did not work while we were there. But those were minor issues that can be easily corrected and this property and location were an excellent value for this area.

Silver Sands has easy access to a beautiful private beach and the heated pool is a wonderful option - all just steps from our room. The staff is very friendly and encouraged us to report any issues to them - and offered good suggestions for dining in the area nearby - Harry's less than a half mile down the street has terrific food whether you go to the restaurant or their grocery with to go options. Our only complaints are that while the room was comfortable and clean and met our needs - the bed was a bit soft and hard on the back. Also, the gas grills by the pool did not work while we were there. But, all in all this is a great option for a short term stay on Longboat Key and we would recommend it!

2 day get away. Loved the beach

Property was nice. We had a small suite, but didnt have a kitchen sink. Good enough for 2nights. Not a 5 star place, but fair.price and walk right onto silver sand beach and gulf of mexico. Visited Anne Marie Island and St Armands circle for.dinner, Publix, cvs nesr.by, quiet tonrelax and nice warm pool for after beach to swim and relax in , nice weber grilles and sand chairs and umbrella, pool noodles etc for beach. Would go again. Land line telephones.in room and outdated

Room on the beach

Perfectly situated between laid-back Anna Maria Island to the north, Sarasota attractions to the south, and the Gulf beach a few steps from your door, where you can join the crowd any clear evening to watch the lovely sunset. Also, clean, warm pool. Note that there are two different kinds of accommodations. The "A" rooms like we had are best for a base for running around the area. The other suites have beach-side screen porches where you could spend a leisurely week or more enjoying the gulf breeze and the surf sounds. If I were to stay in the area again for a week or more, I would definitely consider renting one of the suites. But for a few days as a home base for running around the area, the "A" rooms are fine.

Our room was very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and super accommodating. It did not have a kitchenette, however, they had extras that a regular hotel does not have such as coffee mugs, wine glasses, real dishes and silverware. The sandy beach is beautiful and quiet, and offers lounge chairs too. Morning walks were amazing! Not crowded at all. The pool is clean and 90 degrees with grills and chairs to use. We would love to go back.
