Private, easy access to anywhere. I was disappointed of the person taken 20 of my time to sell me time share and some activities etc. I planned my trip before we got to the resort. Excellent large rooms in a very clean property. Staff is very nice. Food is delicious (we had all inclusive option). Only negative in our stay was being given a premium tequila one night without being informed that it was premium. We had to pay with credit card at the time and couldn’t put the very high charge on our room. Just a note to always ask of what you are getting is included. Otherwise I would recommend.

We had a good stay. Clean, quiet and very safe with a 24 hour gated entrance. One thing I wish I knew is Grand Solmar and Solmar Resort are two different resorts that are side by side. The photos you see with the infinity pools are the Grand Solmar and that one is triple the price. Solmar resort has one medium size pool and a hot tub. Food and drink prices are very high, even more than what we pay in USA and Canada. We thought how expensive can it be, and ordered it the first day. We paid around $40 USD for two single margaritas at the bar. So beware. Also they charge you an optional donation of $15 USD to your checkout bill, without asking. You can remove it, but make sure you check your bill. Overall nice place but we felt it was overpriced for what they offered. We heard that since the hurricane and Covid, they are trying recover the money they lost. We expected some overpriced items but this was too excessive. We won't go again.

We had a great time on our honeymoon. Food and drinks were fantastic. We arrived to a beautiful rose petal heart shape with towels shaped as swans on our bed. The staff was wonderful. Luis at El Tejaban delivered great dinner service for our entire 5 day stay and Arturo was awesome serving us food and drinks by the pool. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you everyone at Solmar Resort you made our honeymoon unforgettable.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The grounds and the pools were always very clean and the staff was very friendly. The bathrooms in the rooms could use and update but it’s a great location right on a beach that’s very close to town and dimmable beaches. It was a great base camp for our stay!
