We looked at far more expensive, all-inclusive accommodations in San Pedro de Atacama before discovering Hotel Desertica. What a find! They truly had everything you need for a relaxing stay in the desert at a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly and professional, the free breakfast was fresh and abundant, and it was great to unwind at the restaurant at night after a long day exploring this incredible part of the world. This was a late-autumn visit, so we did not swim -- but it was lovely...

The staff were friendly and helpful and created a great atmosphere. The place itself is beautiful. Far enough away from the village, but near enough for a casual walk. The tour with Francisco from the hotel, who was deeply knowledgeable about the area, was a highlight.

The hotel is very nice: rooms are decently clean, breakfast is good. also the staff is very friendly, we arrived late and they accommodated. it is a great spot to stay to visit the surroundings. Note that the hotel is a bit fat out of the city, so a car is ideal. The evening shuttle is great though!
