"À notre arrivée, avant d'entrer dans la chambre, nous avons été agréablement surpris par le jardin et la terrasse ombragée à l'arrière de la maison. Par contre, la chambre était exiguëe avec le lit contre un mur et pas de lampe de chevet. La lunette des wc n'était plus fixée. La nuit a été cauchemardesque : le lit grinçait à chaque mouvement, le matelas à ressorts était très inconfortable et les oreillers horribles. The landlady was there to greet me and offer me a lot of great suggestions for eating locally, local attractions, etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable enough for a couple of days’ stay. "Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr gut. Luxuriös ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das einzige Manko war, dass der Pool nicht beheizt ist. Somit war er unbrauchbar für uns. Das Wasser war für die Jahreszeit (Oktober) zu kalt zum Baden. Aber laut Betreiber sollen nächstes Jahr ein Teil der Pools mit Wärmepumpen ausgestattet werden. "Frühstück ist lecker. Zimmer ist in Ordnung aber die Einrichtung bzw die Anlagen kommen schon in die Jahren. Swimming pool ist ziemlich klein."
