"Once inside the gate it is remarkable how spacious the grounds of this property are. The photographs are accurate but do not convey the atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in extensive grounds which you are welcome to explore. The pool is large, clean and a lovely temperature. The House Martins, Wagtails, small owls and Hoopoes come to visit the gardens filled with agapanthus. The owners house is to the side but not intrusive. "This property is great and our host was outstanding. We were here for three nights. Our host greeted us with wine, cheese and fruit. He gave us a quick tour of the area pointing out restaurants, grocery store and bakery. He gave us a history of the property and offered suggestions for dining and sightseeing in Porto. The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
