Charming Cabin on Upper Buckatabon – Adventure & Relaxation

"Very nice 3 bed home on the lake. We arrived to a very clean, comfortable and well-stocked house, only yards down to the lake with a great dock. The kitchen was really nice and had everything we needed.The "Good" - comfortable, air conditioned home with nice views, comfortable beds and bathrooms (one full, one half - and even a half in the basement). Attached garage with aluminum canoe, two small kayaks, one big tube with cover for towing behind a power boat and two nice bicycles to ride on the roads or nearby trails. The management company (Wild Rivers) was very quick to respond to my question and was ready to help. We really enjoyed canoeing to the State-owned island for a nice swimming and day camping area. This is a great place for a family who wants boating, swimming, fishing and fun.The "Could Easily be Improved" - There were no floatation devices for the canoe or kayaks, nor was there an air pump for the flat bike tires. The wood canoe paddles are old and need replacing. Very nicely, they offered to have float vests delivered - but they were all sold out. I think that a detailed description of the "toys" they have would be helpful to avoid bringing our own bikes. Also, If they had a chain lock for the canoe, we wouldn't need to haul it up to the house. These are easily fixable. Lastly, the house is only 25 yards from another house. Luckily, no one was there when we were since we were looking for a quiet getaway."

"Everyone loved the house. I believe it was my error on not being able to unlock door, but you took care of that timely, thanks. Basement was cold but we were able to warm it enough to be comfortable. Loved great room there were enough comfortable seating for all of us to spend quality time together. The location was perfect for driving between church and wedding reception location!"

"Very good price. Excellent amenities. Beds a touch firm but comfortable enough. Games a pay to play. Bring some cash snd use the change machine. Hot tub and sauna are nice. They just installed a pool."

"We loved our stay at the Wildwood! We went for a family vacation and our kids and grandkids had a wonderful time. The layout of the cabins was perfect and the beautiful wooded surroundings was serene! We hope to be back again next year!"

"Address given was not the correct address to pull into the cabin that needs to be updated to pull into Zach lane. Cabin holds 23 people and 2 bathrooms not enough. Code to check in was too long for everyone to remember. Only parking for 6 vehicles isn’t enough for 23 guests. "
