"The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

We thought if we had been tourists staying in the Huon we would have expected some lovely local produce. Instead it was just Coles brand items. The decor is themed after Beaupre, the early French explorer (hydrographer), supported with a good number of antiques, collectables and hand knotted oriental rugs. The fit-out is top quality and consumables include everything imaginable from full scale sewing kits to snake bite kits.
