Business Trip 1 night. This was a great hotel and location (just away from the city centre) . Room was spotless and comfortable - love the balcony and view across the water and the town.The main Boss chap (I think the manager or owner) was very polite and helpful, and his English was better than mine. The Hacienda Rodzio brazilian restaurant for the hotel was 'Excellent' - the rodzio menu is superb - all the meat cooked to perfection. If back in Lubeck will definately stay here again.

Wonderful place !

The hotel is great, the restaurant and breakfast are delicious ! We were lucky enough to enjoy asparagus and strawberry season ! The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The village and the area are lovely. It is a very nice placecto stay.

Nice stay in Lübeck

Very nice stay at this hotell and very friendly staff. The manager was very helpfull with parking and made out stay very easy and comfortable. The restaurant was also very good with good meat and redvine

Great room with a balcony overlooking the small lake. Shower was interesting, it was raised off the floor about 8 inches, but I managed. Great location for easy access.

For a property that is almost 300 years old... it is clean, well maintained. But the team running the place make all the difference, they make you feel pampered. A small property with a big heart! Thank you all at Hotel Excellent.

Nice hotel but very old which is also very charming but it needs to be refurbished. Could be maintained better. Nice with kettle, coffee and tea in the room. The bathroom smelled a little bit of fungus and was old. The beds were hard. Nice view and the room was big.

The main drawback from this hotel was the lack of an elevator. The check in person was kind enough to carry my suitcase up the stairs to the top floor where my room was located. Room was clean with wifi included. Location on a canal with walking path/park was nice. I did not purchase breakfast.

This is an older charming hotel situated next to the water that surrounds Lubeck. Because of the age of the building, there was no air conditioning. Our room got stuffy at night. We faced a busy street, so did not want traffic noise and kept the door to the balcony closed. I suspect it would be very warm in the heat of summer. But staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Wonderful and cosy hotel in the old town, with all the major must-see spots of Lubeck at walking distance. Lovely location with fine, large room. Helpful and service oriented staff. Nicely renovated old building, therefore no elevator. Althogh the hotel offers the possibility of parking in their garage for a fair price, some type of vehicles perhaps won`t fit in. It is possible, if available, to park in the street for free during night time. We will definitely come back! Thank you for having us!

Very nice!

Very pleasant arrival and they were helpful with the parking even though we hadn't booked it in advance. They even paid our parking once on the street to help us out as their own private was taken. Location is perfect and breakfast very nice as well. Even though the building is very old, premises are very cozy and excellent alternative for big hotels. Highly recommended

Housekeeping did not show up several times despite mentioning it and was assured they would come. The place does not open until 10 am nobody there in the morning. Room was old and outdated only plus was the nice balcony. It is way overpriced for all of this. But Carlos the manager was very nice and helpful but only saw him later in the day

Family trip with a view

Family trip thru Northern Germany. Great location and hotel was nice. Only 11 rooms available and we booked a room for 3 that had a pull out sofa. Room was two larger rooms, excellent view and an older bathroom. The pull out sofa was VERY hard but nicely sized. Several plugs were covered with tape and our access to balcony blocked. Water had no setting between ultra hot and cold but we managed. Location, friend service and view makes up for it all. Their food wasn’t super awesome but their drinks were great and again, sitting right by the water is a huge plus on a warm summer day. They have 2 parking spots only in an alley down the street - so arrange for that early on too!

Sehr witziges kleines Hotel mit tollem Blick auf die Seen mein Zimmer 8 war groß und gut ausgestattet. Das Hotel ist historisch also kein Fahrstuhl. Für den Preis völlig ok und Parkplatz gleich um die Ecke … es gibt alles direkt vor der Tür Kino Shops Restaurants Kino nur leider muss ich ohne Hund erscheinen die sind leider nicht gestattet aber das kenne ich
