We visited the San Luca Palace in September. The rooms are magnificent. Clean and spacious. The hotel is very close to the town centre (about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo). Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the staff calm and attentive. There is also a very good restaurant about 3 doors down from the hotel. Can’t recommend highly enough!

On arrival and during our stay the reception staff were extremely helpful and all spoke good English. There was a very good and continually well stocked breakfast. Certainly above the average for Italian hotels. The breakfast staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and once again their English was very good. The air conditioning in the room worked well and the room itself including the bathroom were very large and the bath etc towels were of a very good standard and replaced daily. The only negative I would make and this is a common practice in Italian hotels is that there was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room.

Room was very comfortable but starting to need a refresh. The bathroom was larg, but the shower was over a very deep bath, which made access and exiting a little difficult, as we are both in our late 70's. Location was excellent, a 1 minute walk from the bus station near the Porta Sant Anna at the western side of Lucca. Staff were excellent. Polite, friendly and helpful.
