Amazing hotel and staff. This was by far the most special hotel we stayed in during our week travelling around Tuscany. The hotel is situated just outside Lucca and is beautifully maintained with lovely rooms and a truly beautiful garden with swimming pool. But what really sets this hotel apart are the owners and the staff, who can't do enough to help and are incredibly personable. The breakfast was also lovely with a beautiful area to sit and enjoy in the garden. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future.

Beautifully restored villa 5/ 10 min drive from the centre. Excellent hospitality from the family who did the restoration. Good secure parking. We would not hesitate to come again, the only down side is a lack of taxis on a weekend night time, if you a going into the centre to eat Pre book your return taxi or you could be in for a long wait.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa with our three teenagers. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, we were looking for a few quiet, relaxing days, and this was exactly what we needed. We loved slowing down, lounging by the pool, and enjoying the peaceful pace. The two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family of five, with two gorgeous bedrooms, a spacious living area, and excellent air conditioning. The pool was incredibly refreshing on hot summer days, and the villa was close enough to Lucca that we could easily get taxis into town. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options and the best cappuccinos I had in Italy! The true highlight, though, was the hosts. They were warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We also loved the light lunch options by the pool and appreciated that they could arrange pizza delivery in the evening, along with wine and beer available on-site. We had an amazing few days relaxing at the villa and exploring Lucca. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Villa La Preziosa was completely wonderful. The Villa has been beautifully restored and Barbara, Gunther and their family made us feel so welcome. Lucca itself is an amazing place with lots to see and do and, thanks to the recommendations from the Villa, we found some amazing restaurants. We couldn't have had a better stay.

This property is extremely phenomenal. It’s built in the 1700s and has been well maintained. The area is 9 minutes from the walled city of Lucca. A taxi will cost you 15 euros there but if you’re up for an excursion the hotel rents bike for 30 euros a day. My wife and I enjoyed our stay because the host and their family are extremely lovely.

What a hidden gem!! From arrival we were welcomed by Julian and Victoria the children of the owners. We were greeted with champagne on arrival and treated like loyalty. The hotels gardens and pool are so beautiful you would pay to visit these alone. The garden even has tortoises and fruit growing which you will eat at breakfast. The rooms are gorgeous with all amenities you need including Netflix and prime. The hotel is so quiet and peaceful and perfect for anyone wanting to visit Lucca. We will be back !!

Remarkable experience

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa La Preziosa, charming family-run hotel in outskirts of Lucca, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is perfectly located, nestled in very close proximity to the historic city walls, which allowed us to easily explore all the beautiful attractions Lucca has to offer. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated with traditional Tuscan charm, a Royal suite indeed! The attention to detail throughout the hotel, from the décor to the amenities, truly elevated our stay. Breakfast was another highlight! Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious selection of fresh pastries, fruits, and local delicacies, exceptional scrambled egg and most importantly the warm good morning from Barbara! What really stood out to us though, The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, and ensuring that our stay was perfect from start to finish. At the airport, I noticed that I forgot my mobile phone in our room. It will be hard to believe but the owner himself brought my phone to the airport, we were treated like family rather than customers. Unbelievable experience. Don’t hesitate, this is the place to stay! We can’t wait to return and experience it all over again. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff is so welcoming from the moment you arrive. They make sure you are having g a good time and help you out with activities and food in the area. The hotel is the cutest and the garden is beautiful. Breakfast was great we had ours outside. They also have the cutest pets a dog Cece and cat Bella. We also saw they had pet turtles in the garden. We also loved the town of Lucca. We rented bikes and rode them on top of Lucca’s wall. They recommended a dinner at Ristorante All’ Olivio (because I’m pescatarian) and it was delicious. I definitely hope to go back someday 10/10!

Barbara and her family are incredible and run a small piece of heaven in Lucca… just a small drive from Pisa. Lucca ended up being a charming town and among our favorite stops in Italy!!!

Italian dream anniversary

The restoration was done to an exceptionally high standard. The host was incredibly gracious and helpful throughout our stay. It was a 10/10 in every way. We hope to go back again.

Lovely property with fabulous hosts and staff. Incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are nice, a little small and the air conditioning limited. Could benefit from greater storage in the rooms.

Highly recommend!

Such a lovely Villa! True Tuscan experience. The hosts are so helpful and friendly. They arranged transfer and bike rent for us so we could bike to vineyards and Lucca. Very nice bike ride along the lake to Lucca - about 4 km - 10 min. No hills. Enjoyed relaxing at the pool after a long day out. Beautiful boutique rooms, respectfully renovated. Highly recommendable!

There was an issue with smells in the room that seemed to be caused by presents of some kind of chemicals.
