"When I went to Sun Moon Lake in Nov 2023, the hotel was fully booked. When I returned there in April 2024, I made it a point to stay at the Lalu, and it did not disappoint me. The view from the property is amazing. The room is a suite and very spacious with a balcony. The room is equipped with everything. It was raining the day I stayed there. And it gave me a different feel when the lake was sunny, I just relaxed at the balcony, sipping my cup of tea and enjoyed the ever-changing scenery of the lake with the clouds passing by. The staff were very friendly, and the service was very personal. After check-in, a staff will accompany you to the room and gave a detailed explanation. And they would greet you by your name when you passed by the reception area. You felt welcomed there. The breakfast buffet had a lot of varieties to choose from and tasted great. The dinner from the Chinese restaurant and the Oriental Brasseries was a little below my expectation but was still acceptable. The hotel provided free shuttle service to and from the bus station and made it very convenient to use public transportation to get there. I enjoyed my stay there very much and will return there some day."
