"Lovely place, but air conditioning was limited to 23 degrees, so the room was warm"

"It is a well kept property. We loved the longer shoreline. It is very busy but still I did not feel super crowded. Lots of activities are offered for families. Food is great. Suggestion: beach towels. We had to carry our bathroom towels to the beach. The price of the accomodation is quite high. Minimally, the water at the dinner table should be free."

"The hotel is fine. Nothing fancy but adequate. The staff were all very helpful. Massages were great. My only criticism would be that it is a noisy hotel. The halls do little to dampen the noise from passers by and running children. Still for the price it was suitable. "

"We had a wonderful stay at The Houses of History. It was a unique experience, for our family as the property has a lot of character. The pool was perfect for cooling off during the hot weather and our kids really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and ready to help. Overall, a memorable stay, and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different."

"I would not say 4-star service or quality. I have booked the hotel for my young family based on descriptions that it is a 4 star up market hotel. I stayed in many hotels and this is by no means an up market and 4 star hotel. We arrived about 20 mins prior check-in time with my wife and little baby. Room wasn't ready and told only can guarantee after 3pm. No problem of course, so we went for lunch. Came back after lunch about 3.30pm. Room still wasn't available and had to wait for another c. 20...
