"My husband, son's girlfriend and I stayed in The Nest when our son was in town playing baseball against Lamar University. This house was a great alternative to a hotel. It was cute, clean and well stocked. The owner had great communication and left some special touches in the home for us. The only negative is the size of the beds if you have more than 2 adults. I bought a $30 air mattress and took sheets from home. That worked fine for us. I recommend this house if you are going to be visiting...

"The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday."

"Nice cozy place with good amenities like hot tub, small firepit, creek access for good fishing and comfortable furnishings inside the house. Our only small let down, if you can even call it that, was that the location was not as secluded as we thought. It's pretty close to town and the other cabins on the property are pretty close by which makes it feel not as secluded as we hoped for. Overall, I would say 8.5 out of 10 rating though. Thanks."

"The only problem we found with our stay was the fact that we didn’t stay longer!! The environment was absolutely relaxing and our daughter found fun in every corner (especially getting to interact with the horses!), and not to mention the hot tub, which was awesome. We can’t wait to come back!"

"I widh the weather would have been conducive to utilizing the pool. It looked very inviting. I wasn't crazy about the app for the door lock... and the main bath could use some maintainence on the shower head. Otherwise it was a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood!"

Reached out a few times via VRBO msg, phone calls, and text msgs; only connected once with owner. The one time we connected I was able to get info needed for arrival and departure. "Our family enjoyed our stay at Cherrelle’s place. Everything was just as described and exactly like the pictures. Cherrelle was very kind and also very responsive and attentive. The location of this property is perfect. We were within minutes of anything and everything. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with Cherrelle again on our return to this area."

"We had no hot water, someone was supposed have come out, but never did. The flower planters needed to be groomed as well. Unfinished molding above the kitchen bar area. No oven. Exposed breaker box without a cover . The size of the home was perfect accommodations for my family. Loose electrical outlets as well. The host did allow us to check in early and late on departure."

"This home was exactly as advertised. Very clean and just as pictured. We had no problems with the property at all. There are a few small details that would have made my overall stay 5 star. Having use of the garage for my handicapped mother would have made it more convenient to enter the home especially with the heavy rain conditions. Also, the no pets if any kind, even service animals seems unfair to those who require them. It didn't apply to our situation,but it doesn't seem right. Finally,...

"Traveled to Tx to pick up a puppy. Just a couple hours away from Lumberton and could not pass up the opportunity to stay here. Easy to find with the hosts flawless directions and ease of communications. Knew i would arrive late and self check-in was as easy as the hottub was warm and ready to sooth and soak the road away..
