"The rooms were smaller than average but so cozy. Being able to just walk downstairs for delicious meals was so convenient. The staff were all great, especially Alyssa who cleaned the rooms each day. She made three night owls smile every morning. "

"We loved our stay at the Hilltop retreat. The architecture and design caught our attention, and the views out from the hilltop kept us enraptured. Proximity to Lunenburg amenities is great, and we enjoyed the farmer’s market nearby. Really a relaxing and lovely stay."

"The cottage is just perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation! It was extremely clean and it had all the provisions you’d have in your own home. You can tell the owners take great pride in this cottage, they are also extremely responsive. We rented in April so they came out a couple hours in advance to turn the heat on for us which was above & beyond! We loved the wildlife, we saw so many deer! They have a guest book, so we enjoyed reading the comments from previous guests. One couple had their honeymoon there, another got engaged, a lot of families, and even friends weekends. They have created this little retreat for us to all enjoy. We chose this location because we wanted to explore a different area of the province (we are from Ontario). Lunenburg is quaint and so pretty. We walked into a coffee shop and they had locals playing music such a great East Coast thing! The local pub was fun! The water front is stunning. We were off season so didn’t get to do more than simple walks in Lunenburg itself but there are also a ton of great trails for hiking so that was great! Blue Rocks is a pretty drive. The fresh fish market is where we bought all our fish, we cooked up lobster, scallops, halibut etc. Thank you so much to the hosts Frank & Val! "
