The staff were very polite and helpful, but the hotel needs maintenance. My original room lacked hot water for a shower. I was told that this is a hotel-wide issue. I was able to get moved to a different room that did have hot water after several days and multiple attempts to get the situation resolved. My new room had hot water, but the shower did not drain properly, causing it to flood into the rest of the bathroom. The room also had ants and at least one roach. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were all extremely polite and courteous although in some instances I requested something multiple times and nothing was done.

Great hotel at a very convenient location with lots of parking space. East Park Shopping mall is just five minutes walk. The big outdoor screen with authentic Italian pizza is perfect to catch up with all the latest sports events. The Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant serve super delicious food. So addictive.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 4 years or so. It is a pity that Hotels.com has not always offered rooms, instead I have had to book through a competitor. It is very convenient, very close to East Park shopping mall. The hotel itself offers reasonable value with a guarded car park, though maintenance of the rooms need to be improved.

In the bathroom, water is leaking from floor. I couldn't sleep because of the metallic noises coming from outside all night. The towels were also dirty, which was unpleasant.

The grand palace was truly a great hotel to stay in. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The location was great. The one drawback for us was the safe was on the very bottom and was impossible to get to unless you got down on the floor and for us older people that was impossible to do.
