"Never stayed in a Youth Hostel before, probably shouldn’t have left it until my 40’s. However, it was a great place to stay. Food was good, reasonably priced and all that. The room was clean as owt. Bunk beds are for young people though. I’d probably stay again though. "

CoalShed
2.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (4)
"Lovely unusual place to stay, the room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. There are jo staff on site which is fine but I did need to ask someone something so I phoned the emergency tel number that was on the into board but noone answered and noone got back to me. I do think if you are going to run a no staff hotel you do need someone to be available at the end of the emergency phone number. "

Rock n Bowl Hostel
2.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (90)
"The fact the rock n bowl motel is very close to the strip of shops at Cabot circus, as well as a few bars only a couple minutes walk away was very convenient. There was plenty to do in the bar to start the night off and it was perfect for our lads weekend. The only issue we had was the cold showers. Only one shower in the block was warm, but besides that it’s exactly what you see on the pictures"

"We had a great weekend at Oakdene it’s a quaint , quirky cottage in lovely surroundings . Waking up in the morning looking out over the hills and forest is fab. The cottage has all the basics required, it’s not super modern but it is cosy and comfortable and on the doorstep for all the Forest of Dean has to offer for mountain biking and walking . Jane and Malcolm are great host and make you really welcome. We loved going out in the morning and seeing the local sheep on the green and the...

Danby Lodge - a house that sleeps 14 guests in 7 bedrooms
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (12)
"The property is set in wonderful grounds and is well furnished. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. The fire in the lounge was a lovely focal point throughout the time we were there and we would love to return in summer when we could use the pool. Unfortunately Vrbo’s computer system did not appear to communicate with the property agent’s which led to various problems, including the property manager not knowing that we had paid the deposit. A phone call with the property agent easily...
