"The cabin is beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location is just serene. The river is peaceful and we did manage to see a platypus. Location wise is great base for the Huon valley. We loved our stay and would love to return"

"The cottage is lovely and the owner was very personable. Our only disappointment was the breakfast provisions. We thought if we had been tourists staying in the Huon we would have expected some lovely local produce. Instead it was just Coles brand items. The facilities are very nice though and it was perfect for what we needed."

"The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

"It's safe to say that the while the photos are gorgeous, the truth is even better! The house has a lovely, welcoming feel and has so many considerate touches. We had purchased food and supplies for our 3 days on Bruney Island and thanks to the hosts, all of the cooking and food prep supplies were there and easy to find. Other small touches like having the combustion heater and outside fire pit prepared with kindling. No shortage of books and games. The most difficult part was having to leave the...
