"The breakfast offering is very good and the dining room very comfortable and spacious. The room was very nice but the bed was a bit too firm for me. The housekeeping was very good and all staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly."

"This hotel is housed in an amazing historical building with beautiful stained glass windows and fantastic architectural features. Our room was small but comfortable with a sea view. The hotel has direct access to the beach through a very nice garden. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection. The staff were friendly and parking was very easy. We would definitely stay here again."

Moorhill House Hotel

"Beautiful, quiet location in the middle of the New Forest, lots of wildlife on the drive to and from the hotel. Ample parking spaces, considering they run as a restaurant as well and we turned up on a Friday evening - still had spaces left :) We didn’t take pets but lots of dogs in the garden and reception which was lovely to see, but the place was still well kept and clean. Staff upon arrival were delightful, shown to our room and were told we had been given an upgrade due to the reason for our stay (partners bday - and a birthday note in the room for him) which was a lovely bonus! Room was beautiful, decor was amazing (country/rabbit theme) and it felt homely. All the amenities you could want and need, upgrade included a balcony which was lovely in the mornings having a coffee. We ate in the restaurant on the second night, food was AMAZING and the service from the staff was out of this world! The ONLY negative was where in the hotel our room was, which was on the side by a bin shed so early mornings before breakfast started (between 5&6am) there was quite a bit of noise for deliveries and staff back and forth to the bins. BUT I am a light sleeper, my partner didn’t budge! But this doesn’t retract from the amazing place that this is, life goes on and they have a job to do so this wouldn’t stop me from staying here again! A must stay for nature lovers. Lots to do in the local area, 30min drive from the coast, cities … but you’re already in the heart of the forest here :)"

Huntsman of Brockenhurst

"Clean and well presented room with good facilities for disabled guests. Staff were attentive, polite and welcoming/friendly. Within walking distance of all that Brockenhurst has to offer. Arrive in good time for parking as it’s good but limited. Best to book a table for dinner as it gets busy but the food was excellent. Breakfast is good value if you go for the £15 option. Good tea and coffee facility in the room with an honesty snack selection to choose from if you wish and pay on departure. Couldn’t get TV to work properly during our stay but staff were trying to get it sorted on the morning we departed. A thoroughly pleasant stay."

Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest

8/10 Good

"Hotel was very good, among the best we have stayed in recently. Nicely decorated, clean and tidy. Facilities were great. Stayed in room 121 which was again, very good. Only downside was the bed was too hard and uncomfortable, otherwise in-room facilities were great. Loved the retro radio. ( a safe and fridge might be nice?) Note:, no Aircon, just desk fans. Breakfast catered for everyone with continental & hot options. We had the full English Breakfast which was great on 2 of our 4 days, passable on the other. We didn't try the main restaurant for dinner. The staff were exceptional, polite, professional and had just the right amount of friendliness. Top marks to the staff. Parking was ample and we had no problems. We would be very happy to recommend this hotel and we will be looking to stay again in the future."

Rhinefield House Hotel

"Another pleasant stay at the Rhinefield Hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room exceeded my expectations, milk in the fridge replenished daily and complimentary bottle of wine. Great choices for breakfast and food was superb. Love the hotel setting, an ideal stay for the New Forest. Cannot fault anything and will return at a later date."

Cottage Lodge Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Definitely a bit different to other hotels we have stayed in, possibly best described as quirky. Loved the use of wood throughout & our somewhat alternative four poster bed. Our room was spacious, with 2 comfortable chairs. Very clean & well presented. Thoughtful use of plants & small seating areas outside: we had a sheltered little patio. Good choice at breakfast, although having to decide on arrival some of what we would like for the 2 days felt like a bit of a challenge. Could understand the logistics as to why they do this when we went for our first breakfast, which was a little bit chaotic. However all went much more smoothly on our 2nd day. We certainly haven’t ruled out returning in the future!"
