It is a narrow boat (Peniche) on the river. Access is with limited space, not good if you have large suitcases. It is self-check in and departure.

One night in Lyon on a charming boat!

Unfortunately we were delayed in our arrival until 10 pm due to an injury I sustained earlier in the day. It was too bad we could not have enjoyed for a longer time this very unique experience of staying on a boat! It is very picturesque staying on the river. Street parking was easy, but finding our cabin was a bit tricky. (Management gave good directions but it was quite dark and we were tired when we arrived. Adequate breakfast food was left in refrigerator and coffee was provided. Bed was comfortable. Hope to return to Lyon when we have more time!

Juste génial comme concept. Première fois qu'en regardant par ma fenêtre je vois un poisson nager ! La péniche est très bien située, à deux pas de Perrache, une bulle d'originalité dans la banalité d'un déplacement professionnel. Et il y a un super rooftop +barbecue.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr originell aber sicher nicht jedermanns Sache. Es war warm und sauber. Das Frühstück kam mit einer Stunde Verspätung. Für November war die Zimmertemperatur erstaunlich gut, wenn man mal die Wärmepumpe richtig eingestellt hatte. Das Boot liegt sehr zentral. Die City ist fußläufig in 10 bis 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Uns hat es gefallen, aber wir sind auch sehr anpassungsfähig.

Très décevant

L’emplacement est idéalement situé, seul point réellement positif. Aucun accueil physique, de la moisissure sur les murs de la péniche, des odeurs d’humidité, une étagère cassée, et un petit déjeuner bien décevant (thé, café, pain décongelé, fruits trop mûrs et biscottes). Le rapport qualité-prix est mauvais.

Difficulté dès l’accueil. On m’annonce en disant : « y a un mec qui demande une chambre ». La personne qui m’accueille : « je vous ai envoyé un mail. Vous ne l’avez pas reçu. » Moi : « non ». La dame : « avec expedia ça ne marche pas. » On nous installe quand même. Première déconvenue : le petit dejeuner inclus consiste en produits déposés la veille dans la chambre. Résultat : on mange du pain et des viennoiseries sèches. De plus, le frigo ne marche pas. Mais ça on s’en apercevra seulement le soir en rentrant. Le soir, en rentrant, impossible de rentrer dans l’hébergement. La dame qui nous a accueilli a « oublié » de nous donner le code. Au bout de 10 minutes de recherche, on trouve un numéro de téléphone. On appelle et on nous donne le code. Et de nouveau un petit coup de : « les mails n’arrivent pas avec Expédia. ». Au final, un hébergement insolite mais un rapport qualité prix élevé et un accueil très limite.

On the Saone, in Lyon

We a very good stay here. Yves was very helpful, and welcoming. Great location in the city. On the river Soane , a 5 minute walk from Gare Perrache. The rooms had snacks, coffee machines, and were clean. The bed was very comfortable. We would have stayed another night, but they were booked full . Overall a very nice and charming hotel stay.
