Cozy cabin nestled in the rocks near fishing and hiking

“Hot Tub and fenced area recently added”
Newly updated cozy cabin nestled up against the rocks with all the comforts of home. All new furniture and bedding (comfy mattresses and pillows). You can sit on the front or back deck of the house and hear the sounds of the Middle St Vrain River down below. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials you need. We have yard games, board games, a dart board, a foosball table, an arcade game, and good Wi-Fi. Main bedroom is large with a queen size bed with wood burning fireplace and seating, smart tv, walk in closet with light up makeup vanity, and access to a private back patio. Firewood provided during the winter months if you would like to use the wood burning fireplace. Second sleeping area is a loft overlooking the living room with a queen bed and a smart tv. The cabin is located on Riverside Drive in South St. Vrain Canyon and accessible via County maintained paved roads that are plowed regularly during the winter. It is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Lyons, 15 minutes to Allenspark, 30 minutes to Estes Park, 30 minutes to Boulder or Longmont, and 45 minutes to Eldora Ski area. It is also within a 15 minute drive to a very cute little town with a country store for essentials such as milk and eggs, gas, a few restaurants, a liquor store, and a spring to refill water containers for free. We are near the Middle St. Vrain River with great fishing, hiking trails, off-roading trails, biking, etc. all close by. The town of Lyons is very cute with restaurants, ice cream shop, and lots of things to do throughout the year such as a huge blue grass music festival during the summer, tubing on the river, and a parade of lights in December. If you have any special requests just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. A four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is required from December through March. No pets other than max of 2 dogs. Please mark if you are bringing a pet so the pet fee will be applied and we know about it. No pets on carpeted loft or closet. Keep closet door closed and use the pet/child gate on the stairs. Additional charges will apply if pet damage occurs. No cats allowed. We hope you enjoy your stay at the Alpine Escape!

The perfect getaway
Cindy was incredibly helpful and responsive before we arrived and throughout the stay. The photos do not do this place justice, it's very well kept and stocked on a gorgeous piece of land. The entire home feels new inside and out. There was so much to do for both us and the kids and we spent more time together than we ever have. Feed the chipmunks, watch the mama moose and her baby eat grass across the street, play darts or board games or Ms. Pac-man, climb rock faces, play in the river, read books in the quiet harmony of nature, take a short drive to town, play guitar poorly, just go stay here!

Peaceful Retreat
The property was meticulously maintained and furnished with all necessary amenities. Cindy promptly addressed any inquiries we had during our stay, contributing to a peaceful experience overall. The soothing sound of the nearby creek added a relaxing ambiance to our time there. Our children particularly enjoyed the assortment of games provided. The presence of charming chipmunks in the backyard was a memorable highlight for our family. We would certainly consider staying at Cindy's property again in the future.

PERFECT Alpine Escape!
Our family of 4 stayed for a week over spring break in March. The house was perfect for us- two young boys and two parents. The house had everything we needed and so much more. Sufficient disposables like tp, paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, and laundry detergent were thoughtfully stocked. Plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. The hot tub was a HUGE hit, we used it every single day. All the games ensured we were never bored during downtime. The kids loved gobbling back and spying out the large windows at the neighborhood turkeys. The hosts had shoveled out 4 feet of snow for us before we arrived- effort that was very much appreciated. Communication with host was excellent. But of course the stand out feature of the house was the location. Beautiful, quiet mountain road was a dream. It’s a gorgeous and easy drive up route 7 to RMNP. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again when we come back to RMNP!

Awe inspiring cabin!
We loved everything about this cozy and tasteful cabin! Our host, Cindy, was quick to respond when we had a questions prior to and during our stay. Though we didn't spend much time there, the backyard (rock cliff, large boulders, hammock and inviting deck) was beautiful when viewed from the main bedroom patio doors. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. Great selection of games for family fun. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest hiking trails which were the main focus of our stay.

Gem Near Lyons
This property is truly a gem. It’s incredibly well appointed with quality furniture, kitchen appliances, and amenities. We had a busy trip, and were sad we didn’t have more time to enjoy the house! Great for a family, it has games, books, a game room area off living room, and corn hole boards in the shed. The sound of the river echoing off the stunning rock wall behind the house was relaxing. The property was clean and cozy. It’s about 35 minutes to Estes Park and 15 minutes to Lyons, so there’s plenty to do in a good radius. We would stay here again, without hesitation.

Wonderful mini vacation for the family
The house is beautiful and comfortable with all the amenities you would need. The owner anticipated and had available anything you could need from kitchen seasonings and appliances to towels and laundry soap. The beds were comfortably luxurious and the fireplace in the bedroom was a nice touch. We came to stay a few days so we could snowboard, but enjoyed our evenings immensely with the selection of board games. My sons really enjoyed the dart board and Pacman game. We would definitely stay here again!
