"The listing didn’t really represent this quant hideaway. I grew up in this community so it was great visiting and have this place to decompress and chill. Very cute spot, the host was super, asked if I needed anything at the store and he was very available to assist as needed, I had my ex to assist so didn’t need him, but he checked if I needed anything and was available if I did. And the view from the gazebo was my favourite. You will not be disappointed perfect for couples or just friends space is adequate to share two beds, a cute kitchen, and washroom is super cute. Loved it. Great choice and price."

"Everyone is so welcoming here . Jay was above and beyond providing great communication with all the information needed to prepare for the stay, and his mom Angela is very warm and kind and cooks amazing meals, I loved all the fresh whole foods and juices . The location is a perfect base for doing the Blue Mountain peak hike. There is also a river that you can hike to and swim in. They also grow and sell their own coffee! The guesthouse is only reachable by 4wd, if you don’t have that they can arrange a ride/ pick you up . I was able to take my rental sedan as close as Hagley gap but coming from Portland there were parts of the mountain roads that were pretty sketchy, having to ford a river and go up a pretty steep hill. It might not be passable if it’s been raining. Also Google Maps directions had some errors. Driving to/from Kingston the roads are much better."

"I was doing writing and also needing to rest, this was a lovely stay and I enjoyed it so much I got my colleague to book it as well. There are no nearby shops to buy food so you have to come prepared, other than that it is a good remote stop."
