Well presented house. Had to chase for lockbox number, en-suite shower not working, ceiling leak

Disappointing start to stay. Had to chase for lockbox number despite being told it would come an hour before check in, got it 20 minutes after check in. Once we finally got in the house was large and well presented, and a gift basket left. Unfortunately the Shower in en-suite doesn’t work, and the one in the main bathroom leaks through into the kitchen ceiling, which had clearly been happening for some time, which left us with 1 shower, on the 3rd floor, between 8 people, 2 of them are pensioners. Owners messaged to say they were chasing plumbers, but no one turned up. We chose this house over others because of the bed and shower ratio, even though it was expensive for just 2 nights. No offer of compensation made for the disruption and inconvenience. Wouldn't stay again

Christmas in St Annes

The house accommodated us very well, the rooms are light and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped although some larger pans would’ve been useful. The sitting and dining room had been decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. The welcome pack was great- full of luxury items. We had a plumbing issue with the loo on the top floor - it was visited by plumbers twice but unfortunately remained unresolved. But with other bathrooms available we managed. Overall a lovely clean house in a great location. We would definitely recommend it.
