The room wasn’t too bad at first glance but the shower still had hair from the last renter. We picked a hotel specifically because it had a kitchen but there were no utensils or pans to cook with. My husband is a strict vegetarian and we brought food specifically because we knew eating out would be difficult. Some things were updated but there was a window in the bathroom on the ground floor! It was not covered in any way.

Overall, I like it's one of the better places to stay in Gun Barrel City. The wall feels like they are thin and you can hear the other people. Also, it's close to the road, so you hear a lot of road noise. Either way, I would consider staying there again.

We did not realize this was not a chain known as Extended Stay and were disappointed it was a motel and not a Hotel. The noise on the road kept us awake most of the night. The following night we stayed at a Hampton Inn in Irving which was top notch. The facility was clean but would not want to stay there again due to the location to the busy Highway.

They have done a really nice job bringing this old place back to life. There are a few cosmetic issues with moldy grout and hidden dirty corners. But overall it is clean, well-appointed, mostly quiet and the beds are comfy.The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The price is exceptional for the convenience and the very handy kitchenette. Should I have need to be in the area again, I would definitely chose ESA again.

The bed at this Extended Stay, was comfortable., and the staff was friendly. Nice cool room which is needed in the Texas heat. One night stop, but I could see it being accommodating, for a family for a day or two

Stayed here when they first reopened and everything was great you could smell the fresh paint. Some original fixtures like lamps, dressers, chairs weren’t replaced, but they were manageable. Not so great this stay first room dirty with random splatters on walls and lamp shade and wall next to bed. I believe there was heavy black mold/ water damage growing on trim in bathroom. Comforter on bed had stains on it. Etc. awoken at 7/8am by room service 2 taps then opened door to look in to see if room was occupied. Switched rooms next day more of the same with random splatters on wall, stove wasn’t cleaned from previous person left food splatter and dead fly, more stains on comforter and decorative pillows, dirt/stains in shower, bugs, dirt and sticky stuff on the floor, etc….. it just appears that housekeeping isn’t paying attention to detail and turning rooms over in a hurry.

Cheap, and comfy

It was fine. Rooms are clean and have a full size refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. There is a liquor store across the street but in literally has liquor and not much else.

Very nice place!

Very clean and nice place to stay. Its new or been remodeled recently so lets see if it atays that way. Will definitely stay again. Only downside is distance from road. You can hear traffic all night long.

Mmmm not horrible

The stay itself wasn't horrendous, but the cleanliness was. There was hair everywhere. They were on the sheets, the floor, etc They promised a hair dryer and so the wife didn't pack one, so she was a tad bit miffed at that. There was NOT a lot of parking available, so get there quickly before you have to park a lot further away than you would like. The receptionist however was the bright spark here. Super helpful, super friendly and a pleasure to talk to.
