"Bar Cillatah was is a wonderful house in a beautiful setting. The house was clean, comfortable and close to the lovely town of Kenmare. Views from the house are amazing. We were able to do day trips from there such as The Ring of Kerry and Kinsale. Jer was an attentive host. We definitely recommend Bar Cillatah!"

"We loved this vrbo, it was an authentic Irish cottage. Communication with the host and the local people who help take care of the cottage was great. Timmy the groundskeeper was extremely helpful upon our arrival at the location. Very spaceous, with a large fireplace, full kitchen, washer, dryer. Lots of history and photos of the cottage over the years. Central to Killarney and Dingle. Our favourite!!!"

"Wonderful views over the Kenmare River. A great area for sitting outside, with picnic table. Big windows. Surrounded by trees, flowers and birds. Super efficient heating and Wi-Fi. Well-equipped kitchen. Quite remote, up a narrow lane, not suitable for driving back after an evening in the pub! Needs a little updating: curtains in bedrooms are very thin, letting in light in the mornings; a couple of floor lamps in the sitting area would make reading easier in the evenings; and a new sofa would be...

"Beautiful house, immaculate. Spacious rooms and large walk in shower. Well equipped kitchen, warm. No satellite TV unfortunately. Great views all round, the sea and the mountains. Very welcoming with owners parents next door if we needed anything. It would have been useful to have a signpost to the property as we did get lost. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

The home does not have any extra comfort items such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, salt, pepper, coffee (but has a nespresso machine), laundry soap, extra toilet paper or paper towels, etc. to be fair these items were not in the listing either so it is listed 100% accurate. We loved the big, comfy couches to sit around the fire on in the evening, a large gravel driveway for the kids to play ball on, three toilets to make bathroom sharing easier in a family of 5 and wifi and lots of TV stations to pick from. "Everything was mostly clean, but using the water heater was an adjustment and neither of the toilets flushed correctly. That was quickly fixed by maintenance though. My only real complaint about the property was the noise level. It seems that these apartments are rented out to large groups of students who party and make an unbelievable amount of noise. Great amenities, not so great with the noise. "
