Nicely decorated country lodge with log fire dining room. Perhaps bathroom could have been a bit more lush in line with the rest of the decors.

Cute little roadside motel with a make your own breakfast option. Could have been cleaner (bug carcasses and cobwebs) but being this close to nature I expect a few interloper critters. End of spring and the heat was on, so we had to google the instructions for the heat/ac unit. Directions would have been nice. Come here for pleasure, not work, as the WiFi is free but very weak. Gisborne seemed a nice town with many services, owner was super friendly and helpful… :)

This place has a great location right on the main street and a vibrant pub with good food. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom smelled quite musty, but it disappeared after opening the windows and closing the bathroom door.

This hotel was a great discovery and is now one of my favorite hotels I've stayed in. We had a one-bedroom cabin and it was wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was large with a double sink vanity & the shower had both a rain head & hand-held shower heads. We loved the little kitchenette and the absolute best part were the amazing views & gorgeous sunsets! This was our second stay at Quest Watergardens. We chose a 1 bedroom room so we had the flexibility of space for my husband who would needs to work remotely sometimes during the night. The room was perfect for that. We loved having the kitchen even through we didn't end up cooking. The dishwasher drawer was a lovely way to clean up each morning.
