Casa d´Olívia is located on the Terra Baptista site, belonging to Porto da Cruz, a parish on the island of Madeira, known for the production of brandy in the local Engenho, as well as for the practice of sports related to Nature, such as Trail and Surf. Near the house, you can find the Levada do Castelejo, which connects to Ribeiro Frio.
This rustic house consists of 2 floors: on the 1st floor we find 1 living room, the kitchen and 1 bathroom, on the 2nd floor we find 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and the other with two single beds, as well as a shower. The house has a porch where the guest is invited to use the barbecue if they wish and also a terrace, where they can enjoy the surrounding nature.

Beautiful rustic small cottage in the hills 166 steps off the road and with sea and mountain views
The house is well maintained and well furnished and welcoming. We were met by the owner who helped us with bags down and up the garden steps and gave us garden produce. The cottage is near lovely walks on Levada Castelejo in two directions and Porto da Cruz for swimming. The large covered veranda is sheltered with zip down plastic windows that are easy to open for sun and views over the countryside to the sea and the mountain Aguia. We also walked on the Levada Portelo and Furado at dusk as the mist was rising in the valley below Ariero and the other mountains. Beautiful views all around at this location.

Un séjour très agréable dans la casa de Olivia. La maison est située dans un cadremagique, vue sur l ocean, proche de circuits de randonnée. Olivia et Joao sont très accueillants et nous les remercions des attentions qu'ils ont eu à notre arrivée. Un voyage inoubliable !

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst, feine inselspezialitäten bekamen wir als Geschenk. Da wir den ganzen Tag kaum etwas gegessen hatten war wir auch sehr froh um die Eier, die zum kaufen bereit waren. Es gab einen geschützten vorgarten mit hängematten, so konnten wir uns immer draussen aufhalten auch bei starkem Regen. Alles perfekt. Das einzige was nervte war das ständige gebell der nachbarshunde. Tag und Nacht. Vielen Dank

Kleinod in super Lage
Unser Gastgeber war sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Das Haus ist schön, inmitten eines tropischen Gartens mit einem tollen Ausblick. Die Umgebung ist schön, viele Wanderungen kann man direkt vom Haus gehen. In Porto da Cruz ist ein Strandbad und es gibt Surfmöglichkeiten. Das Haus war sauber und wir haben die Terrasse mit den Hängematten geliebt. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

Idyllic stay in a beautiful valley
We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Casa d'Oliva is a beautiful house with a large terrace, with ocean view and view on the very green mountains and valley. The owners are super nice and left us fresh eggs, homemade wine and licor, tea, coffee, cookies, etc, and there was a 'mini market' inside if you needed additional things (for which you could pay). We felt very welcome and had a lovely time, we mostly enjoyed eating outside on the terrace and the beautiful view. We were with the two of us, but there was an additional room with two separate beds. Thank you a lot!

Sejour agréable dans la nature
Excellent accueil, maison tranquille, très propre et bien située pour aller faire des randonnées. Vue splendide depuis la terrasse. Il ne manque rien : vaisselle, linge, ingrédients de base (sel, huile, café, lessive...). Olivia propose des confitures et liqueurs délicieuses. Un seul bémol : l'escalier très raide pour accéder aux chambres.

Merci à Olivia et sa famille pour leur accueil et leurs gentilles attentions . Leur charmante maison au cœur de la nature est purement merveilleuse pour qui cherche le calme tout en étant à une heure maximum de toutes les excursions et sites à voir. Un excellent séjour madérien.
