My husband and I absolutely loved this place. In the middle of a long trip around Australia to meet all his friends and family (I’m American) we stayed here as a break and chance to rejuvenate. The Acacia Villa is gorgeous, feels brand new, and has everything you’d need for a long weekend trip. We loved the gorgeous view, watching the birds, and relaxing in the outdoor bath. We stayed 3 days in August. Delux studio room. Roomy enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Room is very clean. Kitchen is well equiped. There are many activities suited for little kids or teenager. It is the main benefit we get not available at regular hotel.

Our stay was amazing, rooms were spotless and so very confortable. Manager was very helpfull and made our stay so much better, loved the hot chocolate and coffee machine. Decided to stay on the way back as our stay was so enjoyable, great hotel within walking distance and very yummymeals. Would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay

If you have to go to Mackay this is the place to stay. I felt like I was a family member. The lively couple who takes care of the lodge were so nice and helpful. They helped me book a tour to the Whitsundays, gave me great recommendations on food and other activities. They even dropped me off at the airport.

The moment we walked into our room at Whitsunday Apartments, the immediate focal point was the ocean view--and it was magnificent! Truly, the room and the view were even better than the advertised photos. The staff was always helpful, cheerful and gracious. It would have been the best vacation ever, except the weather wasn't cooperating and we didn't go snorkeling. This only means we will have to go back--poor us! Lol

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, tidy, and well-presented, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help whenever we had questions. There was plenty of convenient parking, which made coming and going easy. Overall, the motel was quiet, comfortable, and great value for money. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to other travellers.

We stayed at Potter's on our way to the islands to help with scientific research. The staff was outstanding in providing us with transportation, keeping our suitcases after we checked out, and sharing information and insights about Mackay and its history. The hotel is comfortable, quiet, a block from the coastal preserve and a short walk from Mackay's central business district. We highly recommend it!
