At Clarion we enjoyed good service at check-in, a very nice spacy, spotlessly clean room. The motel is right on the beach which was really nice, and walking distance to anything you'd need on vacation. We highly recommend this motel.

Rooms were clean, but outdated. Customer service was great, friendly staff. Breakfast included is a huge plus! Pool area is run-down. Workout room is pathetic….lots of broken equipment, no weights, broken water cooler, and carpeted! Beach and sidewalks full of goose poop, broken beach chairs, just not a well maintained beach area.

Staff in the office were pleasant and helpful. Nice beach for guests. Air conditioning worked great. Room size was good but everything needs updating. 3 floors with no elevator. Stain on linens(bedding/towels). Wall lamp with no plug- just the wires hanging at the end. Dirty towel still behind bathroom door. Could list more but you get the idea.

The view was remarkable! Breakfast was great. The only negative comment would be that the place needs a little tlc. Our balcony screen door had a broken screen. Our lamps were missing lightbulbs and the outlets don't hold a plug (in some).

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay and the location is convenient, however a little bit underwhelming for it's premier location. The staff seemed uninterested. The pool and hot tub worked, but the whole place gave me the vibe that the ownership just isn't trying very hard to make it a nice place. The included breakfast left me feeling like we should have went to Denny's instead - but there isn't one! If you need a place to stay for a night before heading to the U.P. or are staying longer and aren't expecting great things, it will suffice.

I would never stay here again. The microwave didn't work. The room smell was absolutely horrid. The pool and hottub appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time. It was run down and not maintained. The rooms were gross. The location was great. The woman at the front desk check in was great when we checked in. But this room smell was so bad that my kids commented so many times how bad it smelled. We tried keeping the door open and windows open but it was a stench that would not go away. The room appeared very outdated and old. I was not thrilled. I had children with me, otherwise I would have asked for a manager. Do not stay here even though it is listed waterfront property. High disappointed!

Promising but outdated. The room was small and crowded. It seemed very dusty and dirty. It looked like it was decorated in the 90s. The bed was uncomfortable, though the pillows were nice and soft. The tub was relaxing. The bathroom floor was gross. The patio door was loud and hard to open, as it stuck a lot.
