Perhaps if you were a female traveler on your own this time of year you may feel a little intimidated because there is no staff on site, but the area itself is very safe. Loved waking up to a view of the Burgenland hilly countryside, so lovely. Good restaurants in the surrounding area, generally less than a ten minute drive. The roads to the hotel are narrow and steep, so if there is snow or ice you would want to make sure you have good winter tires. "
