Well located, in a great, walkable spot. The room was clean and decently maintained. We did have a bit of an issue getting fresh towels on multiple days during our stay, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

I arrived a bit earlier than expected and because there was a similar alternative room available, I was able to check in and start my day in Madrid. The room was very clean, and I was happy to see an electric kettle with coffee and tea alternatives.

I stayed with my senior parents in the triple room for a few days and our stay was great. What we appreciate most is the accessibility since this hostel has an elevator. There are 2 steps before you get into the elevator though. The breakfast next door was good, the room is clean and spacious with lots of outlets and a beautiful outdoor view to boot. Even though we have a window, there is good sound proofing in the room. You may hear other guests walking in the corridor occasionally but other than that we slept soundly. The bathroom is clean with good shower heating and pressure. The AC takes quite a while to get cold and the fan isn't that strong but it eventually gets to the set temperature. Staff were very nice and helpful, they have free lugagge storage if you arrive early. The hostel is close to the main tourist spots in Madrid. Highly recommend this place! 4.5⭐️

I had a really great stay at Hostal Abadía. The entire place was very clean, and the bathroom in particular was immaculate. My room was basic, but honestly much better than I expected for a hostal, and it had everything I needed. I had an interior room facing the internal patio, so it was very quiet and I had no street noise at all. The location was also excellent — very central, with metro and bus stops just down the street, a grocery store nearby, and plenty of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. I arrived after midnight one night after a concert and still felt very safe walking back. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options, which was a nice surprise. One thing to keep in mind for anyone with mobility issues is that there are about three steps at the entrance and then another three steps before reaching the elevator. I originally chose this hostal because hotels in Madrid were extremely expensive during the Shakira concert weekend, but I ended up being very impressed. It was comfortable, clean, convenient, and a great value. It actually made me want to explore more hostales in the future.
