立地は良し　歩いていろいろ楽しめました。 しかし　直近の地下鉄の駅が改装のため封鎖されていたので荷物を持っての移動は全てタクシー利用しました。 ホテルの人は英語がわからないのでロストバゲッジの受け取りお願いをするのに困りました。最後には分かってもらえましたし、良い方たちでしたけどね。

Trop bruyant !!!

Hôtel bien situé mais très bruyant, le sol du couloir c'était du parquet du coup on entendais les gens qui passait très fort. Et les murs c'était du papier et le réveil du voisin de chambre nous a réveillé plus d'une fois. Même si on a été bien accueilli, je ne reviendrais pas dans cette établissement où j'ai mal dormi malheureusement.

As centrally situated as they come

Hotel Splendid is situated in the center of Madrid, on Calle de Gran Via. A central shopping street, close to everything your heart can desire. The hotel has a grand entrance with a high level of service and security by the guards. Hotel Splendid is situated on the 5th floor, a bit on the quaint side but very nice and service-minded staff. Given the price, this is a great hotel in the central part of Madrid.

The glamorous picture of the hotel is the best (only) thing good about it. The hotel is not well marked on the outside of the building - a small plaque only. The hotel is one of many businesses, including other "hotels", in the multi-tenant building. The building interior is totally run-down. The reception is Spanish-speaking only and I waited patiently for spent several minutes as the helpful lad handwrote the details of my passport into the hotel log (apparently they've never seen a photocopier). The elevator to the 5th floor is so small it barely fits one traveller with a small backpack (I'm only 5' 6" and not chubby). The walls are paper thin - I got to listen to the neighbouring room's tv in the wee hours of the morning. There were no "local attractions" materials, or anything about the hotel, in the room. The Wi-Fi is not theirs and it's slow (when it's working - there's a hand written notice at the reception indicating same). The bathroom is not much bigger than a broom closet: so small that the door, when open, almost hits the sink. The building has a musty smell to it: even though I slept with the widow open, there was little fresh air. Lesson learned: you can't judge a book by its cover. In this case, the photo was very, very deceptive.

위치가 좋아서 웬만한 관광지는 다 도보로 이용 가능합니다! 다만 요새 gran via 역이 공사중이라서 그 근처 역일 이용해야했네요(sol, callo 역 등)

sehr zentral gelegen mit perfekter Anknüpfung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Wenn die Dame des Hauses jetzt noch halb so freundlich wär, wie ihr Mann, dann hätte alles gepasst. Zimmerservice war echt ok, damit hätte ich gar nicht gerechnet, dass überhaupt jemand das Zimmer macht.

Zentrale Lage

Das Hostal befindet sich im 5. Stock eines Wohn- und Geschäftshauses unweit der Metro-Station "Gran Vía". Aufzug ist vorhanden. Nachts ist das Haus verschlossen; ein Portier läßt nur autorisierte Personen ein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer 509 verfügt über ein Duschbad, Schrank, Schreibtisch, TV, Klimaanlage und Safe (Safe gegen zusätzliche Gebühr). Duschgel und Seife vorhanden. Zimmerreinigung erfolgte täglich. Matratze war schön straff und nicht durchgelegen.

쇼핑과 관광하기에 최적의 장소. 가격대비 훌륭합니다. 시설은 별것이 없으나 깨끗하게 관리하고 있고 직원분 모두 친절합니다. 특히 장기간 묵으실분 추천합니다. 근처 맛집도 많고 걸어서 거의 대부분의 관광지 갈 수 있고, 바로 앞에 버스정류장과 지하철 역 있습니다. 솔광장까지 걸어다닐 수 있는 거리이고 가는 길이 쇼핑거리라 좋습니다.
