Excellent location in the best area of Madrid. The hostess are extremely committed in making you have the best experience at their property. Very good communication.
Place is very accurate. It is an internal apartment so no view but excellent location. Easy access. Host was excellent. Place has everything you need for your stay. Small apartment but it is expected in Madrid.
The apartment was really nice, clean, it had everything we need it. The neighborhood was great, very safe and a lot of entertainment walking distance. I would recommend this place.
Used the same company Flatsweethome before and had a great experience so chose them again. Flat was very central so great location for Salamanca district and the rest of central Madrid. Windows are all internal to the building but we didn’t mind much.
Nice apartment in great location, near transport links, museums and Parque de El Retiro

Excellent Location. Excellent Service
Our stay at this apartment was great!
To begin with, the booking and coordination process with Gabriel was very smooth. Then, our arrival was very late on a Saturday night and when we got to the apartment, there he was, waiting for us. The apartment was in perfect condition. The location is excellent, just two blocks from Parque El Retiro, one block from Serrano street, and a short distance to El Prado and other museums.
We highly recommend it and will likely return in the near future!

Great location
The location of this apartment within Madrid seems quite close to perfect. First, you can take the Cercanias train line C-1 from the airport (terminal 4) to the Recoletos station, which is only a few steps away from the apartment. Secondly, the apartment is located in the nicest neighbourhood of Madrid, Salamanca, in walking distance of the nice shopping avenues of Serrano, Velazquez and Recoletos. And yet just on the other side of Recoletos, you have access to the cool areas of Malasana and Chueca, Gran Via and the city center. It is also beside the Retiro park, which is a gem, ideal for joggers and for those who want to contrast the hectic pace of the city with the calm of a classic and large park. The Prado is very close as well.
Though the short Calle del Cid is perhaps not the city's most beautiful street, the apartment building has perfectly reputable neighbours: on one side the chic Asian restaurant 'Le Dragon' and on the other, Spain's foreign assistance organization, the CDTI. On the opposing side of the street, a club for 'cougars' seems to have been around for a while.
The apartment itself is very well laid out. It is Ikea-furnished and equipped. The sofa and living room chairs show some signs of the passage of previous guests, but those are minor issues. The television has many channels and to see the movies in the original language, one presses the 'OK' button and right arrow until the choice appears (could be explained on a plasticized sheet on the coffee table). There is WiFi Internet, but it is a good idea to bring an Ethernet cable just in case your computer can't connect to the modem (as was my case).
The apartment is on the second floor of a 4-5 story building and the windows face an inner light shaft that is maybe 4 meters square, so the natural light that enters the apartment is mostly indirect. This might not sound ideal to most, however the up-side is that the apartment is quiet. One sleeps rather undisturbed nights on the twin bed.
In terms of supermarkets, the best is undoubtedly the one in the basement of the Corte Ingles on Serrano. An easy way to access it is to take the bus up Velazquez get off at Ortega y Gasset, walk to Serrano, do your groceries, and travel back down Serrano on the bus until the National Library stop which is steps away from the apartment.
The owner, Gabriel, provided good customer service.

Great location, very quiet and convenient to Metro
This apartment was just perfect for my daughter and me for a quick visit to Madrid to see a relative. The flat is clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and equipped. It is a short walk to several Metro stops (different lines) making it very convenient to get around, as well a quick walk to the Retiro Park. We took the Expres Aeropuerto Bus to Plaza de Cibeles (~45 minutes) and when we left, took the Metro from Serrano to Linea 8 (Pink) to the airport, also ~40 minutes.
Best of all, it was very quiet, a necessity for the jet-lagged traveler.
We definitely recommend the flat and also recommend renting through flatweethome (Gabriel and Jacob). They have other flats they manage as well, are accommodating and helpful.
Lastly, thank you Jacob for recommending Mercado San Miguel. We would have missed it had you not suggested it to us.

The apartment is in a perfect and very safe location. It is modern, clean and comfortable. Very homey! Excellent for one, a couple or a couple with small children. (Not 2 couples). I would definitely stay there again when in Madrid.
I especially liked that it was so close to Calle Serrano, a lovely street
with beautiful stores and many cafes. Plus easy to walk most anywhere
to sightsee. Gabriel was most friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
this apartment.

Madrid
Location of this appartment is excellent - with all the main sites & nightlife of Madrid within walking distance. The flat is really suited for 2 persons - flat becomes cramped with more - so ok for 4 if short stay only (sofa bed is a bit small - not enough plates / cuttlery etc / cooking utensils).
But these are minor details. The welcome is friendly, the flat is clean - the service sincere. Recommended

A Good Experience
This little apartment was the perfect solution for my husband and me, in spite of being an apartment whose windows only opened to the interior patio of the building. It was well equipped and extremely quiet, bright and nicely decorated. The location, just one block off "Serrano," the most elegant shopping area in Madrid, was ideal. There were plenty of cafes nearby and it was easy to access taxis or public transportation.

A nice week in Madrid
Hello amigos! We stayed a whole week last August in the apartment and we were very pleased with it. It was big enough for us three people and very comfortable and clean. Especially the location was marvellous because the apartment is very close to the main attractions of Madrid and there are plenty of shops around the area of avenues Goya/Serrano where one can go shopping. Great is that the apartment is located in a very quiet corner, so that one can relax after visiting museums. Special thinks to Gabriel who received us and kindly provided us their help soon

Great clean apartment in a great location with very welcoming and helpfull owners. We stayed in this apartment for 2 nights. It has everything one needs, is very clean and located close to the main city center tourist areas. You can walk to most sightseeing, easily hop onto the tours buses and access the subway if needed. We recommend this apartment.
