Our story begins with my grandfather, a renowned architect and an expert in cultivating plants, he set out with a vision to build an ideal holiday home for his family. He designed this home by incorporating local architectural heritage, embodying the essence of a Northern Thai traditional house. Expertly crafted by Thai Craftsmen using teak timber, it is designed to withstand our hot and humid climate throughout the year. Situated in a peaceful area of Mae Jo, only 30 minutes from the centre
The space
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a lovely private botanical entrance leading to the downstairs section of the house. The area is adorned with locally handmade furniture, providing a charming seating area
As you ascend the stairs, you'll find a wooden seating area where guests can relax and remove their shoes before entering the inner part of the house. Once inside, you'll discover an open-air living room with a traditional design, perfect for dining, unwinding, and working, creating a serene, nature-surrounded ambience. For your convenience, there is a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, tableware, a fridge, and a freezer.
The bedroom features a unique wooden wardrobe designed to separate the door from the inner area. Our spacious 1-bedroom accommodation can comfortably host 4 to 5 guests, offering ample extra space. The bedroom is furnished with a 40-inch TV, high-speed Wi-Fi (up to 500mbps), towels, comfy clothes, an aroma diffuser, 2 air conditioners, and an air purifier. Additionally, the en-suite wooden bathroom boasts a touch of modernity with a rain shower, a toilet, a sink, shampoo, body soap, a hairdryer, and a concealed door connecting to the open-air living room. Outside, there is a delightful garden with lush greenery and a seating area for guests to relish the fresh air.
This remarkable Teak wood house is constructed using traditional methods that prioritize functionality to withstand Thailand's ever-changing weather. The design allows the wind to permeate the house from any direction, providing a true northern-style house experience that you and your family or friends will cherish forever.
