"Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed in a beautiful setting. The switchbacks getting in and out were a bit daunting but we got used to them. Friendly hosts who gave good information on the area. "

"This is not Greece! As soon as we saw the hotel we left. Very commercialized, and nothing like Greece, if that’s what you want than you will love it but we were looking for something totally different."

"The pool area is beautiful very comfortable sun loungers, pool was spotless.
Reception area is lovely and the staff do their upmost to help with any request.
Breakfast is really nice and food is hot!
Halfboard was amazing, it was a sit down restaurant style so you could order off a menu, starter salad main course and dessert! Loved the food, again staff were amazing.
Rooms could do with an update, we had a lovely upgraded room free of charge facing the pool, it was very clean but the...

"Had a fantastic stay at Psaras. This was our 2nd time & equally enjoyable. Comfy beds, constant hot water, great position for restaurants, bars etc & maid service regularly.
The only thing to mention is on our previous visit we could use the pool at the hotel in front. We were told we couldn’t do that any more as it’s an all inclusive hotel & it’s not free to use the pool/beds like it was 4 yrs ago. Otherwise all good "

"The staff was warm, smiley, and courteous. There was an issue with the room, and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel owner was a pleasant person who came to talk with us, gave us tips on where to travel, and asked for our suggestions on how to improve the hospitality. It was definitely an excellent experience in Crete, and we will surely return there next time."

"The Hotel was ok, much smaller than it looked in the pictures. All the Staff were lovely and couldn't have done more for us. The room was nice, kept clean and had most amenities except towel rails to hang the bath towels inside but, it did have a rack on the balcony. The tv channels were dated and not for English speaking guests, Paralos as a chain should use satellite television. The sun beds were a bit of a problem, as there wasn't enough for everyone, the occupants of the swim up rooms, used to lay on the other sun beds, as the swim ups were all in the shade most of the day, bit of a waste, so glad we didn't upgrade to one. The hotel says it has 2 restaurants, one is hardly ever used as its across the road and downstairs next to the underground carpark with a few chairs and tables more like a overflow carpark. The food was good but the same menu every day, gets a bit monotonous and could do with maybe theme nights to break it up. The beach is a minimum 10 minute walk away, not really a beach just stones and sand that was littered with rubbish. My overall rating would at a push a 3 star."
"Lovely new, clean resort was a pleasure to stay here even though the weather was not so good to begin with. Close enough to town to walk in for lunch/ dinner which was just as well as dinner options are limited to buffet or bar snacks. The food quality is very ops though.
Nice place to stay"
"The staff are absolutely amazing, every experience we have had was professional, helpful and they are always so kind!
The room was always cleaned, thankfully because sand followed us everywhere!
The view was absolutely beautiful!"
"Amazing property, felt very high end but still authentic. The staff is very nice and ready to help. The room was comfy and always beach/pool sunbeds available. The breakfast is amazing 10/10 we looked forward to it every day. The onsite reasturants and drinks were over priced for what you got (but the dinner buffet also 10/10 at 45 euros per person). If you are travelling with a baby they have lots of high chairs at all eating places. The only thing I would say is the pool is deep (for kid swimming) and also if you are not travelling with kids this place is packed with young families (great for us, but if I was on a romantic getaway I would choose adult only resort), the town of Malia is walkable about 25 mins - only 5 min drive. But the town is geared to young clubbers and strip joints… BUT the “old town” is cute and small and has good restaurants, so I would just go into old town to dine out. The beach is nice but more rustic/with large rocks. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend."
"This is a fabulous 5* gem, and we had a great time. Positives: Stunning hotel, extremely cleanl, lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and showers, lovely happy friendly staff. A hotel with great ambience, luxury all neatly bundled up into a lovely package and we'll be back again soon. Also so quiet, even though the hotel was not empty. Negatives - 5 restaurants, unchanging menu, even in the main buffet restaurant, so choices were lacking by the end. Rooms were not serviced if you missed the early morning rounds. Having returned to our rooms in the afternoon/evening, our room would not have been cleaned - this didn't phase us that much. Overall: We visited end of September (after school holiday period) when the weather was turned cooler and windier. The pool was too cold to enjoy and was avoided by most guests. A regulated pool would be much better. Same for the bedroom pools - we didnt use ours as the water was on par to having an ice-dip. This was the same for many of the other rooms we could see."
