"Lovely central hotel apartments very spacious and well cared for. Rooms cleaned everyday and clean towels. Pool area was lovely. Bar in hotel but not in use. Breakfast was adequate although outdoor tables could do with wiping down. All in alll a good experience"

Can Albertí 1740 Hotel Boutique

"This historic property comprised of two homes made into one, was a delight! The receptionist spoke perfect english and gave us a wonderful tour and check-in. Our ground floor room had a small, private patio with table and chairs. The bathroom was large with a huge shower and plenty of hot water. Footsteps from the room above were heard but it was a small price to pay for this nicely sized room with towering ceilings. We were celebrating our anniversary so when we returned from our walk, a delicious bottle of wine with glasses had been places in our room! So thoughtful! Breakfast was served on the second floor each morning with a delightful spread of local offerings and eggs cooked to order. There was even a living room with an “honor bar” available for guests. The elevator gets you to the 2nd floor (3rd in US hotels) and then you can take steps to the rooftop solarium. The views are fabulous! The elevated location in town is ideal with short walks to shopping and lots of restaurants. We loved this charming boutique hotel with only 14 rooms, as well as the helpful staff! We would definitely stay here again and hope to return and explore more of Mahon and it’s fascinating connection to US Navy history."

"It's a beautiful little hotel right in the heart of Mahon close to all the main sites, the harbour and shops and restaurants. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was very large and really beautifully decorated and well maintained. Having freshly cooked breakfast brought to you was a treat. Cannot recommend this hotel enough"

"We came for a three night stay during mid May. The staff were very helpful at reception and allowed us to check in early to our rooms. We were hiring bikes to cycle round the island and the hotel provided secure storage for the bikes. The breakfast buffet was a very comprehensive spread and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. There were also two small pools to use and sunbeds to soak up the sun after. You should be aware that the hotel is a 4-5k 10-15 min cab ride away from the centre of Mahon as it is situated on the other side of the port, so for evenings out there you should factor in around 28 Euros in total for the round trip. You can also eat and drink at the hotel in the evening if staying local as they do meals and have a bar but there isn't too much else food and drink wise in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. All in all we had a great short break, it's very peaceful, has great views to Mahon, friendly staff and would thoroughly recommend this hotel."
