"The lake view is nice. The water is very high right now and so there is no beachfront (which is reportedly the case at most properties). Unfortunately, my room had no hot water (though they tried to turn it on??) and the wifi might as well be nonexistent. The Indian menu options at the restaurant are very tasty, however. Expectations should be kept in check."

"Staff and lodging is good, ac works. The pool was not filled upon our arrival. Don’t buy anything from the vendors on the beach they will overcharge you by insane amounts. Walk down to the other vendors and shops for better deals. "

"A more affordable option in Senga Bay, but still a very nice place in its own right. Much more personable than the more anonymous, bigger hotels. Super friendly staff and owner, great breakfast (with coffee!) and a big room with AC."

"Stayed here for one night , it was hot season and the rooms were very stuffy air con was effective and room was tired with old windows and broken toilet and sink. Staff were extremely helpful and made up for the difference."

"The Sunbird waterfront is a very nice modern property with very well appointed rooms. The restaurant is good – breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and polite. I was disappointed by the lack of a tourist activity program, and very ad hoc approach to this. Some of the prices I was quoted for boat, rides, or other accompanied activities were ridiculous. I think part of this that probably not many international guests stay there. The other annoyance was the noise levels at night. On the Saturday night, there was a big party at the hotel and music went on until 3 am. Not acceptable."
