Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. This property is steps away from the village which is convenient to eating/drinking/shopping as well as central to transportation around the whole area. We were also very impressed with the dog friendliness of the hotel. Almost every time we got onto the the elevator, at least one dog was riding with us (not including ours).

We loved this hotel, we traveled in July and hotel has a great location, across from the village, our 2 bedroom suite had a lot of amenities, pool and jacuzzi were nice. Staff were so kind and Thu in concierge was so kind and friendly. We definitely will come back

The Monache is our favorite Hotel in Mammoth Lakes. The staff is great and the rooms are small but very nice. The fitness facility isn’t anything to brag about but that’s just being nit picky. The one thing we absolutely did not enjoy was the Whitebark Restaurant. The interior is a mix of cafeteria and fine dining which is weird and the overall feel is more like a IHOP than a high end restaurant. They were out of a lot of food options, the service was slow and the prices did not match the quality or taste of the food. We won’t be eating there again. Other than that, this is a first rate property.

Mammoth

Great place to stay in the village in Mammoth Ca. Close to the mountain/ gondola and lots of restaurants. Beautiful views from our room.

Great place, the hot tubs are great

Great spot! A 3 min walk to the village gondola. The two hot tubs were amazing. Room service and the restaurant was good.
