The fully-equipped kitchen is spacious and open and replete with coffee and the cooking basics (spices, cooking oil, etc.). For only $12*, your chef/housekeepers Elisa or Hazell can head to the market and then whip you up breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fancy a smoothie, a plate of rosquillas (a classic local snack), or chilled coconut water from our tree? Elisa and Hazell can make it happen!
The tile floors of Granada are beautiful….but they are HARD! So we installed a soft-floored exercise and play room. Or head over to PURE for to workout or for a Yoga or excercise class. You’ll have access to the gym and receive a 10% discount on all massages and spa services while staying at Casa Tortuga. Check purenica d ot com to read about PURE.
Got kids? We can stack the exercise/play room with toys! We can also provide a crib, a baby-changing station, a baby gate, water wings/floaties, a child’s bike helmet, art supplies, board games, a white noise sound machine, etc. The pool is fenced for safety and includes an open-air shower.
Our bi-lingual co-host, Gretchell, will be on-call to help you with anything you need. A taxi pick-up? A tour? Need something from the pharmacy or convenience store? Anything you need can be delivered for a dollar or two via a moto-delivery service.
The spacious master is on the second floor and boasts a spectacular view of the cathedral. Enjoy the breezes from the lake on the private balcony. Don’t worry, there is A/C for when the breezes don’t suffice!
The bathrooms have thick, soft towels and hot water from a real water heater (no electric shower heads).
A convenient parking option is available 2.5 blocks away for about $2 per night. We can also provide a vehicle (the owner’s Nissan Patrol 4 x 4) and a private driver for a very reasonable price.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

It was amazing!!! The staff was incredibly accommodating, on top of things and made my stay so memorable! Amazed at the communication and customer service.
Pro’s: staff was helpful and helped arrange transportation. House was economically priced Pool was small but nice to have considering the intense heat. Kitchen was large. Deck on top of the house had fantastic views.
Con’s: No TV. One homeless person in the neighborhood acted aggressively
Warren and his team made our stay in Granada even better than we could have imagined. Not only is the home lovely, well equipped and just as it was shown in the photos, but staying here comes with a whole team of people to help you make the most of your time in Granada. This was our first time in Granada as a family of 5 from Montana. With Warren's team's help, we set up multiple day trips and learned about the city at a much greater depth than if we had not been stay at Casa Tortuga. Everyone who helped - tour guides, house cleaner, driver - were such incredibly kind and interesting people. It was a joy to stay here and no doubt, we hope to come back some day!
Host Warren was amazing, he went far beyond to accommodate my extra family members. His staff are very attentive to your needs too!Overall it was a very nice stay and will definitely would like to come back!
The house has beautiful, traditional design with a pool in the center courtyard connected to the kitchen and some comfy hammocks to relax. The beds are comfortable and 2 bedrooms have their own bathroom and AC. The house cat was so friendly and my daughter loved playing with the cat. Located within a 5 minute walk of parque central and many great restaurants. We enjoyed a carriage ride around the city, a boat tour of las isletas, and an evening trip to the Masaya volcano. Our hosts created a WhatsApp group and were very responsive to any questions.
We are a family of six that travel internationally frequently; this was our first time in Nicaragua. Warren connected with us before and during our stay.
His staff, assisted us in numerous ways to ensure that any of our needs were handled promptly. They assisted us with a local family that provided garage space for our vehicle, assisted us with recommendations in the area, helped us book tours in Granada, and even assisted with our Ferry reservation for our vehicle, for the second half of our trip.
The house is in a great location for exploring Granada and the surrounding areas. We felt very safe and throughly enjoyed this home.
I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Granada to book this home and we will stay here for our future visits to Granada!!
Absolutely false advertising. Reserved this house for the best man at my wedding... Woke up & he said he didnt sleep in the house. Once I fould out what it was like that morning, I promptly got him a new place Nothing was clean, everything was dingy, dangerous electrical connections, mold in corners, cracks in walls, roof tiles broken & ready to fall on someones head. The pool... is not a pool, it's the size of a jacuzzi but without the benefits & is dirty... to the point that the mosquitoes will eat you alive.
There are holes in the ceilings, water comes in from everywhere & everything gets wet.
There is some sort of 12' tall "storage mountain" comprised of what can only be described as a yard sale fortress.... and its ready to topple over.
We wer eflat out lied to via photos & services. Do your self a favor and walk away from this one. Never again
