The Stone Bridge crosses over Bull Run near the Manassas Battlefield. During the first major battle of the Civil War, the original bridge was destroyed. However, it was rebuilt and is now a historic landmark with hiking trails through out.

The location is beautiful and peaceful, a great spot to visit any time of the year to witness eagles soaring or other animals and birds of the Virginia countryside.

Beautiful hotel in Old Towne Alexandria

"We enjoyed our trip and stay at Hotel Heron. The facilities were beautiful and well maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. The only criticism from my husband was he missed having a comfortable reading chair or coffee make in the room. He had to go down to the lobby to find coffee and comfortable seating in order to read before the rest of us woke up and got moving. We enjoyed watching Alexandria’s birthday fireworks from the rooftop bar area- a big bonus for sure! "
