"Looks great online but the reality was quite a disappointment. The cabin was not as well appointed as I had thought given the cost, all a bit cheap and plasticky. The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. "The place was clean and tidy, well set up for a large group. Sadly my Dad and I arrived late at night so didn’t get to really experience the property much but I could imagine it being a wonderful escape for a big family or group of friends to enjoy. Walking distance to shops, cafes and the local pub/restaurant as well as the Farewell Spit tour company (which is why we were late arriving). "We had a wonderful stay at this special spot in Golden Bay. The views of the estuary and bay were absolutely stunning, with ever-changing light and beauty throughout the day. The location is perfect—close to Collingwood and Farewell Spit, yet peaceful and secluded. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was one of the best we've experienced.A highlight was listening to Ruru calling at night and watching a lightning storm move across the bay after dark—an unforgettable experience....

"We had a lovely, relaxing 3 nights in Parapara beach. The bach is right on the beach with stunning views all the way to Farewell Spit. It was dog friendly and we met lots of nice people on the beach with their dogs!"

"The communication about the layout of the property could have been better. There is no internal access to the downstairs rooms. There is no WIFI - in this day and age - you really should have WIFI (especially for when the weather is inclement in Golden Bay - which is often is). The TV is just a screen to play DVD's - there is no channel service. We weren't told you can't drink the water until the morning we got the check-in instructions - it was Easter Friday - so we couldn't buy bottled...
