"The place was clean and tidy, well set up for a large group. Sadly my Dad and I arrived late at night so didn’t get to really experience the property much but I could imagine it being a wonderful escape for a big family or group of friends to enjoy. Walking distance to shops, cafes and the local pub/restaurant as well as the Farewell Spit tour company (which is why we were late arriving). "This was an awesome place to host 80th celebration- plenty of room for 8 adults and teenagers to be together or escape if they needed to. Great to have use of kayaks and pool table. Parapara as location ' close to Vollingwood, Wharariki beach or back to Takak. "

"Looks great online but the reality was quite a disappointment. The cabin was not as well appointed as I had thought given the cost, all a bit cheap and plasticky. The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. The container got quite hot as the weather was so good, but there was no air conditioning and no fly screens, so opening the windows meant I had to contend with some big bugs late at night (moths and cicadas).
