Perfect stay

Perfect stay for work safe and very quiet location. Food and service excellent and the room was spotless and very comfy bed. Staff perfect just what we needed after a long day at work

A fantastic place to eat, drink and stay. Room was really lovely with good amenities. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing with huge portions and there was live music. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel area a little tired especially entrance stairs, room was good a bit cold on entry but soon warmed up once I worked out the aircon unit which is explained in a handy instruction guide. Food was very good and the discount for guests was a nice touch

Warmly Greeted by front of house gentleman However the hotel was very dated and in need of an overhaul The stairs and hallway were dirty and scruffy and in need of painting The carpet in the room was old and looking rather dirty Linen was clean and bed was comfortable Shower was dated Seal around the shower was falling off And water pressure was poor

A pleasant business trip

Pub is very nicely setup and the food is great! Discounted if you have a room also which is a nice touch. Room was clean overall but did smell a little of stale smoke would be my only negative. Also the AC unit diddnt work when I initially turned it on, but it did come on in the night which kept the room nice and cool!

Room was ok clean and tidy, hallway, stairs, walls looked dreadful. Thankfully Rooms did not represent this. Restaurant was very slow.

Frustrating - asked for a receipt on payment at arrival, was told I would get one by email next day. Despite several messages sent, no receipt received. Difficult to claim this business expense back now. Room clean but very noisy from other residents which were golfers for neighbouring course.

Don’t book this hotel through Hotels.com!

I booked and paid two rooms for two nights, on arrival I was told that there was a problem as they don’t have an account with Expedia and that meant that they can’t get paid from hotels.com. They said that I would have to pay them again and try to get my money back from Hotels.com!!! I spent two hours going around in circles trying to contact Hotels.com and in the end had to pay again. In the end it took two months to get my money back.

Very poor!

Upon arrival was ordered to sit at a table and they will collect our order...but we were there to check in! Room was cold on arrival, bathroom floor dangerously slippery as left wet, glasses were gritty and dirty, and there were no bags in the bin. Day two they didn't check the room, empty the already over-full bin and stock up our tea and coffee supplies. Staff also didnt tell us what time meals were, and it turns out they don't even do breakfast! Went for a meal on the second night which was poor. Grilled food was over done, chicken salad was served in a risotto bowl (so I couldn't cut the dry chicken without tipping the bowl) then less than 5 minutes after finishing the meal we asked for a dessert and the kitchen refused. All in all I would not recommend this place to anyone and will certainly never return here.
