"We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! Would happily stay again if I was in the area."

"The welcome was shocking, the arrival time was wrong. Did not receive the entry code by email the day before. The stairs very steep. Very dusty in bathroom. The shower only had very hot water. The window sill had traffic grit in the corners, window were streaked. Uneven floor, luckily we did not fall, but nearly did. If I had known I would not have booked. The music blaring from the owner’s radio while he was working on his car was very loud. Poor neighbours. The breakfast provided, was bread/toast/crumpets. Cereal. Tea & coffee. Then they had the cheek to ask you to wash up afterwards. Could not get out quick enough. No one around to speak about the shower in the morning. "

"The cottage is delightful. No problems with the kitchen, bedrooms, heating, access or TV. It would be hard to find a more beautiful setting enclosed amongst the trees, surrounded by parkland and gardens that are yours alone after 5 pm"
