I really enjoyed my stay, however getting there was challenging, and I couldn't find the email to ask questions on their website. I ultimately took a risk and was able to hop on a bus from Karuizawa, but online it mentions no reservations for buses, and I could not find that there even was one to ...

Hotel Metropolitan Nagano
Room was great. I like that their check out time is at noon, instead of earlier. Breakfast has good selection of Western and Japanese food.

Holiday Villa Hotel & Resort Karuizawa
The quiet was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Beds were comfy. A little too warm upstairs but cooled off in the night. Disappointed the pool was already closed in late August but we still really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend! the
